Abstract

PURPOSE:To make a dielectric layer thin which is effective to obtain a large capacitance, by diffusing, thermally by baking, material for semiconductor spread on a green sheet, and forming a layer turned into semiconductor in a laminated sintered body. CONSTITUTION:A laminated sintered body composed of dielectric is formed by baking a ceramic green sheet. Powder of material for semiconductor is thermally diffused at the time of baking, and it permeates into the laminated sintered body to form a semiconductor layer 13. The parts which are not turned into the semiconductor layers 13 in the laminated sintered body are dielectric layers 14 obtained as the result of baking. On the end surfaces of the laminated sintered body, a pair of external electrodes 15, 16 are formed, which are connected to specified internal electrodes 13 to lead out capacitance. Therefore, the thickness of a laminated ceramic capacitor is large as a whole, so that sufficient strength is obtained. Thereby, it is realized to make a dielectric layer thin which is effective to obtain a large capacitance.
