Abstract

PURPOSE: For the reduction in size and improvement in performances of ceramic filters for example, to polarize a laminate piezo-electric ceramic and obtain simultaneously polarization-eliminated capacity layer and piezo-electric ceramic layers.
CONSTITUTION: A piezo-electric ceramic B having a higher curie temperature characteristic than a piezo-electric ceramic A is ceramically and laminatedly combined with said ceramic A. Silver electrodes 1 and 2 are attached to the ceramic surface obtained after sintering, and polarization is made for piezo-electric activation. At this time, layers A and B become the ceramics having ordinary piezo-electric characteristic. When left at a given temperature after polarization, said layer A loses polarization i.e. piezo-electricity. Said layer B has a higher curie temperature characteristic than said layer A and maintains piezo-electricity. Thus, the ceramics having two characteristics can be obtained from sintering by manufacturing and heat-treating the piezo-electric ceramic having said layers A and B with different curie temperature characteristics so that considerable contribution is made to the reduction in size and improvement in performances of said ceramic filters for example.
