Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the growth of a stuck matter, and to prevent head crash by removing the stuck matter as impressing a direct current voltage between a magnetic head and a disk plate. CONSTITUTION:The magnetic disk plate 1 of a magnetic disk device is arranged so as to oppose to the magnetic head 2, and the flotation quantity of a magnetic head slider 2-1 is determined by the shape of the slider, the load of a magnetic head pressure spring 2-2 and the relative velocity of the plate 1 to the slider 2-1. The plate 1 is fixed to a spindle hub 3, and the hub 3 is rotated by a bearing 7 and a brushless motor 6. The bearing 7 is held at a base plate 4, and the hub 3 is electrically conductive at its end part by a contact pad 5. Besides, the head 2 is held at a carriage 8, and is positioned to the radial position of the optional position of the plate 1. Further, the head 2 is connected to the pad 5 through a head address switcher 10 and a direct current voltage generator 11. Then, stuck matter removing seek is performed as impressing the direct current voltage from the generator 11, between the head 2 and the plate 1.
