CONSTITUTION:In this device, the reproducing stylus in the tip side of the pickup arm which has the base side supported by the elastic supporting material scans the rotary disc relatively to reproduce the information signal. Pickup arm 7 is provided with permanent magnet piece 9, and coil 6 is provided separately from and opposedly to magnet piece 9, and permanent magnet piece 9 and coil 6 are so connected that forces by which reproducing stylus 4 is pressed to and separated from disc 2 are generated in permanent magnet piece 9 when a current is flowed to coil 6.
