Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to use a tracking servosystem of simple constitution by driving and deflecting a rotating member, with two fitted magnetic heads, in a rotation-axial direction and then by deflecting two magnetic heads in the same direction at the same time. CONSTITUTION:Two magnetic heads 13a and 13b are fitted at positions symmetric on the center of rotating member 15. Driving coil 22 provided to rotating member 15 is inserted into a ring magnetic field provided by a DC magnetic-field generator provided to fixed drum 2. Therefore, when a driving current flows through driving coil 22, rotating member 15 drives and deflects magnetic heads 13a and 13b simultaneously in the same direction. Namely, when magnetic heads 13a and 13b differ in azimuth and still reproduction for one frame is in process, rotating member 15 is driven and deflected by as wide as two recording tracks in the extension direction of the rotation axis during single rotation. Thus, high-performance reproduction is made possible by a tracking servosystem of simple constitution.
