Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a replaceable magnetic disc medium of high reliability which is free from an inflow of air and realizes high-density recording, by installing a magnetic disc and magnetic head in an airtight shield case. CONSTITUTION:Nearly in the center of airtight shield case 11, disc driving bearing 12 is arranged and made rotatable by external driving spindle S with case 11 mounted on a magnetic disc driver. Then, magnetic disc 13 is coaxially fixed to driving bearing 12. On the other hand, head driving bearing 14 is arranged outside in the radius direction of disc 13 and made rotatable by driving spindle P for an external head arm with it mounted on the unit, and a couple of head arms 12 is fixed at respective ends. To other-side ends of head arms 15, four magnetic heads 16 are fitted and enabled to move relatively toward magnetic disc 13 as head arm 15 turns.
