つぎに、実施例について説明する。
The present invention relates to a patterning method for decorating the surface of an inorganic board for building materials such as an asbestos cement board or a calcium silicate board. Substrates such as inorganic boards for building materials are often used with an uneven pattern formed on the surface. Formation of such a pattern has heretofore been carried out by embossing the surface of the substrate or by painting using patterned paper or the like (pattern rule method). However, according to the former method, molds are required for the number of patterns to be formed, and ancillary equipment such as a press is required, resulting in a huge investment in equipment. There was also the hassle of having to change the mold for each pattern. On the other hand, according to the latter method, the uneven pattern cannot be formed unless a large amount of paint is applied, which inevitably results in a large amount of paint being used, and there are problems with the finish due to the formation of thickly coated areas. Furthermore, in thickly coated areas of the coating film, there has been a problem that the coating film cannot follow the dimensional changes of the substrate and peels off. This invention was made in view of the above circumstances, and by partially coating the surface of the base material with two or more types of paints having different hardnesses, it is possible to create coatings with partially different hardnesses. The gist of this method is to coat the surface to be coated almost uniformly with a film, and then polish the film to form concave portions in the parts of the film with low hardness, thereby forming an uneven pattern. That is, by doing so, it becomes possible to form an uneven pattern extremely easily without requiring incidental equipment such as a mold and press, or complicated work such as replacing the mold. Furthermore, since the present invention does not apply layers of paint to form an uneven pattern, the amount of paint used is small and the paint film does not peel off. Next, this invention will be explained in detail based on one example. That is, a substrate 1 as shown in FIG. 1 is prepared. This substrate 1 is made of calcium carbonate, calcium silicate, cement, wood, synthetic resin, or the like. It is usually composed of an inorganic material such as calcium carbonate. Next, as shown in FIG. 2, the surface 2 of the substrate 1 is partially painted by simultaneously spraying a paint with a high hardness and a paint with a low hardness from the spray guns 3 and 4', respectively. Then, as shown in FIG. 3, it is coated with a coating film 6 consisting of a portion 4 with high hardness and a portion 5 with low hardness. in this case,
The coating film 6 is made by spraying two types of paint with spray guns 3 and 4'.
Since the film is formed by simultaneously spraying onto different parts of the substrate surface 2, the film thickness is substantially uniform and the surface is substantially flat. Next, as shown in FIG. 4, the surface of the coating film 6 is rubbed with a rotating brush 7.
Polish by. As a result, as shown in FIG.
It wears out to a large extent as compared to that of the 1st part, resulting in a recessed part 8. In this way, a beautiful uneven pattern 6' consisting of the hard coating portion 4 and the recesses 8 is formed on the substrate surface. Then, if necessary, as shown in FIG. 6, clear paint 10 is flowed down from the coating machine 9 onto the uneven film 6' to apply a finishing coat. the result,
The uneven pattern 6' is covered with a coated film of clear paint 10, making it even more beautiful. In the above description, two types of paints having different hardnesses are used, but it is needless to say that the present invention is not limited to this. Further, the method of applying the paint is not limited to spraying with a spray gun, but may also be applied by brushing. Furthermore, it is not necessary to apply two types of paints with different hardnesses at the same time. Since the present invention performs patterning in the manner described above, it is possible to form an uneven pattern extremely easily without requiring a huge investment in equipment or complicated work. Additionally, since there is no need to apply multiple coats of paint as in the past, the amount of paint used can be reduced and the paint film does not peel off. Further, by adjusting the coating area by adjusting the coating amount of paints having different coating film hardnesses, the size of the uneven pattern can be easily adjusted. Furthermore, by appropriately selecting the combination of paints and adjusting the hardness etc. of the resulting coating film,
The height of the unevenness of the uneven pattern can be easily adjusted, and the degree of three-dimensional effect can be easily adjusted. Next, examples will be described.
