Abstract
PURPOSE:To form smooth coated films which obviate mixing of double layers at one time by forming the double-layered paint films consisting of a lower layer paint and upper layer paint on an applicator roll and transferring the coated films to the surface of a material to be coated by utilizing reverse rotation. CONSTITUTION:The paint for the base coat in a coater pan 8 is lifted by a pickup roll 1 and is transferred to a distributor roll 2 by which the film thickness is adjusted. This paint is then transferred onto the applicator roll 3. On the other hand, the paint for top coating in a coater pan 9 is lifted b a pickup roll 4 and is transferred to a distributor roll 5 by which the film thickness is adjusted. The paint film which is patterned by a pattern forming roll 6 is transferred onto the base coat on the applicator roll 3 and is transferred onto the base coat. The double-layered paint layers formed in such a manner are painted onto the surface of a stock 10 from the applicator roll 3 rotating reverse from the advancing direction of the stock and are baked.
