Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明は、ＲＯＭカートリッジ専用の接続部を有するコ
ンピュータやその端末機に、■ｃメモリーカードを接続
するためのカートリッジに関する。
最近、パソコンのハード及びソフト面の規格が統一され
、その統一機種はＭＳＸパソコンと称されている。
このＭＳＸパソコンでは、メディアとして第３図に示す
ようなＲＯＭカートリッジを用いることとされている。
このＲＯＭカートリッジは、ケース半休３０内にプリン
ト配線基板３１が収納され、その基板３１上にＩＣチッ
プ３２が搭載されている。
そしてケース３０の一つの側面にスライドパー３３を取
付けて、カートリッジをパソコン本体に差しこむとスラ
イドパー３３が第３図に示すように後退して、基板３１
の一側面に配列された端子３４がケース３０から露出し
てパソコンの接触端子と接続されるようになっている。
このＲＯＭカートリッジは、ケース３０に上方からぼぼ
同形の他の半休（図示路）をかぶせた状態で使用する。
ところがこのＭＳＸパソコンには、接続部の形状的制約
により、当然、規格化されたＲＯＭカートリッジしか使
用できない。
本発明者は、このＭＳＸパソコンに、最近注目されてい
るｊ　Ｃメモリーカードをも使用できれば更に便利であ
ると考えて検討の結果、本発明を完成した。
即ち本発明は、規格化されたＲＯＭカートリッジと同じ
構造の対コンピュータ接続部と、ＩＣメモリーカードを
接続し得る構造９対力−ド接続部とを備えたことを特徴
とする接続カートリッジである。これにより、ＲＯＭカ
ートリッジと同じソフトをもったカードを作れば、従来
のコンピュータ等の接続部構造を変更することなく使用
できる。
以下本発明を図面にもとづいて説明する。
第１図は本発明カートリッジの内部を示す斜視図、第２
図はその■−■断面図である。
ケースの半体１内には基板２が固着され、基板２の一側
端には張出した部分２１があり、その上、下面には外部
端子３．３、・・・が配列されている。張出し部分２１
の周囲には従来のＲＯＭカートリッジと同様のスライド
パー３３（第１図では省略）が取付られている。以上の
点は従来のＭＳＸ用のＲＯＭカートリッジと同じ構造で
ある。
そして基板２には、端子３と同数の接続孔４が設けられ
、端子３と接続孔４は１対１に対応して配線接続されて
いる。端子３は張出し部の上、下両面に同数ずつ配設さ
れているので、接続孔４の数は、片面の端子数の２倍必
要である。５は、基板２上に載置されたコネクタである
。コネクタ５は、接続孔４と同数の取付ビン５１を有し
、このビン５１により基板２１と固着接続される。コネ
クタの片面には、ＩＣメモリーカードＣの挿入口５３が
設けられ、その挿入口内にはカードＣの端子と１対１に
対応して接触する端子５４が設けられ、その端子５４と
取付ビン５１とが対応して接続される。それにより、カ
ードＣの端子と取付ビン５１とが１対１に対応して接続
されるようになっている。またコネクタの左右には、カ
ードＣ用のガイド５２が設けられている。
ケース半体１．１の他側面には、ＩＣメモリーカードＣ
を差込むためのスリット１１が形成されている。
以上の構成により、本発明カートリッジの外部端子３側
をパンコン本体に接続し、次いでカートリッジにスリッ
ト１１からＩＣメモリーカードを差込むと、カードＣの
端−子とカートリッジの端子３（これらは同数とする）
とがコネクタ５を介して１対１に対応するから、従来Ｒ
ＯＭカートリッジしか使用できなかったＭＳＸパソコン
に、ＲＯＭカートリッジ及びメモリーカードのいずれで
も使用できることになり、極めて便利である。
以上の説明はＭＳＸパソコンについてのものであるが、
それ以外のコンピュータ機器についても、コンピュータ
への接続部の構造を在来のＲＯＭカートリッジ（たとえ
ばスライドパー３３を有しないタイプのものもある）と
同じにすれば本発明を適用することができる。

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 一側面にＩＣメモリーカード挿入用スリットを設けたケ
    ースと、ケース内に収納されたコネクタと、ケースの他
    側面から外部と接続可能に設けた外部端子とを有し、コ
    ネクタにはＩＣメモリーカード挿入口と、カードの端子
    と接触する端子とを設け、コネクタの端子と上記外部端
    子とを１対１に対応させて接続したことを特徴とするＩ
    Ｃメモリーカード用接続カートリッジ。
