FIG. 1 is a diagram showing the usage state of a welding wire stored in a commonly used pail pack. 1 is a welding pail pack consisting of an outer cylinder 2 and an inner cylinder 3, between which a loop 4 of welding wire W is accommodated. The wire W is twisted approximately 360° per turn in advance so that it does not twist when pulled out.
The wire W of the loop 4 is given a twist in the opposite direction to the twist υ that occurs when it is pulled out, so that the wire W of the loop 4 always tends to expand.
A restraining member 5 is placed on top of. Note that this expanding force acts not only upward but also radially outward, so the loop 4 extends toward the outer cylinder 2 and creates a gap between it and the inner cylinder 3 as shown in the figure. The inner cylinder 3 may be omitted since it is already made.

Conventionally, when using such a wire for welding inside a pail pack, there has been a drawback when the wire in one pail pack is used up and replaced with the next new pail pack. It is difficult to check the amount of welding wire remaining in the pail pack and estimate when to replace it with a new pail pack, and the arc stops when the welding wire in the pail pack runs out. Only then did I realize that the pallet was empty, and I tended to replace it.

Especially in recent years, when welding work has become increasingly automated and welding work is being carried out fully automatically and unattended using welding robots, etc.
If welding work is interrupted due to running out of welding wire, it is time consuming to replace the pail pack, pass the welding wire through the conduit tube and torch, and restart the arc, reducing work efficiency. I don't like it. Further, it is not preferable to interrupt and restart welding midway in order to obtain a good welded part.

When using welding wire in a pail pack, it is necessary to perform a large amount of welding, and since the amount of welding wire used is large, it is important to increase welding efficiency, and for that purpose, the wire in a pail pack is used. It is desirable to start feeding wire from a new pail pack immediately when the pail pack is exhausted. For this reason, there has been a long-awaited development of a technique that would allow trouble-free transfer of welding wire between pail packs when replacing pail packs. The present invention was born out of such a need, and an object of the present invention is to provide a welding wire removal method that allows for smooth replacement of old and new pail packs during welding without interrupting welding work. This is a method for taking out welding wire from a pail pack that stores welding wire, and the final thickness of the wire in the pail pack to be used for welding and the starting end of the wire in the pail pack to be used for welding are The purpose is to connect the two pail packs by joining them, and to continuously take out the welding wire when replacing the pail packs while restricting the degree of freedom of the wire that straddles the two pail packs. The present invention will be explained below based on the examples shown in the drawings, but the following examples of performance 1i are not intended to limit the present invention.
Various embodiments can be considered without departing from the spirit of the present invention.

Welding wire is given a twist of approximately 360° per turn within the elastic limit of the wire in order to prevent the weld bead from meandering during welding, and is stacked in a loop shape within a pail pack. are doing. As shown in the figure, the wire loop-shaped laminate 4 has its outer circumferential portion in contact with the inner wall of the outer tube 2 of the pail bar, and there is a gap between the inner circumferential portion and the outer wall of the inner tube 3, as shown in the figure. Then, the terminal end 12 of the bath contact wire laminated in this pail pack is guided upward from the lower end of the loop-shaped laminate 4 along the inner wall of the outer cylinder 2 in a spiral manner, and the upper end of the loop-shaped i7i laminate 4 is guided upwardly along the inner wall of the outer cylinder 2. and the bottom of the annular holding member 5 placed on the upper end,

Especially in the holding member part, the welding wire is
Since it is sandwiched between the loop-shaped laminate 4 and the loop-shaped laminate 4, it is likely to be bent, but if it is formed into a spiral shape as described above, no problems such as bending will occur. Since the terminal end of the wire above the holding member is pulled out when welding and joining to the starting end of the next pail pack, it is best to provide a margin of 2 loops in the illustrated example. However, once the welding wire in a pail pack has been used to a certain extent, when joining it with the starting part of the wire in the next pail pack, there is some room at the end of the wire, so you need to be especially aware of the amount of the end of the wire above the holding member. There isn't.

Figure 3 shows that during welding, when the welding wire in the pail pack (hereinafter referred to as the old bag) 1/2 is used up, the new pail pack (hereinafter referred to as the new pack) 1'' is about to replace it. As shown in the figure, the final end of the wire in the old pack 1' and the beginning of the wire in the new pack II' are joined by butt welding, and the wire portion near the joint is attached to the outer cylinder 1 of the old pack 1'. Clamping member 1 attached to
5 restricts the degree of freedom of the wire when transferring the wire from the old bag to the new pack, and prevents problems such as kink lines due to twisting of the wire. The clamping part of this clamping member is formed in a U shape, and clamps the wire via a sponge inside the clamping part.

When the welding wire (V) taken out from the old pack in this state is used up, the welding wire (V) below the holding member is used up, leaving the holding member at the bottom of the pail pack and rotating the welding wire (V) from the upper conduit In this way, the welding wires stacked in the old pack are used up, and finally, the wire end portion spirally arranged on the inner wall of the outer cylinder 2 is taken out from the pail pack. Next, the welding wire is released from the clamping member 15 and the welding wire is removed from the new pack. The wire introduction hole of the conduit tube is attached to a movable support member on the rail 17, so it can be pulled out. It is located at a non-optimal position corresponding to the state of the wire being lifted, and when exchanging the old and new packs, it automatically moves in the direction of the arrow, that is, upwards to the new pack 1.When transferring the wire from the old pack to the new bag, In addition to the above-mentioned clamping method, various means for regulating the degree of freedom of the wire can be considered, such as an adsorption method using a magnet, or a method of inserting the wire through a perforated weight 18 (indicated by a dotted line) such as an insulator. In either case, welding The wire used for this purpose is twisted, so when the wire is free to some extent during wire transfer, it twists in the opposite direction in an attempt to eliminate the twist, which tends to cause tangles and tangles, leading to straddling between the new and old pail packs. Restricting the freedom of the wire by restricting the movement of the wire is a meaningful process ↑6 for realizing smooth wire transfer. Moreover, the movable means for the wire introduction hole of the conduit tube 8 is as described above. In addition to the rail method, a method may also be used in which a conduit tube is attached to a rotatable arm tip provided on a support.

As described above, according to the welding wire removal method of the present invention, it is possible to smoothly replace old and new pail bags without interrupting welding. In this regard, with the conventional technology, in the worst case, the wire passes through the feeding device and cannot be fed, welding stops, and the wire breaks. Therefore, a new pail pack is ordered, the wire is pulled out from it, and the conduit
If the welding device is an automatic welding device, the wire must be passed through a pipe, a wire feeder, a welding torch, etc., and then reset to start welding, which is extremely troublesome. Furthermore, even if the welding wire is replaced with a new pail pack before it is used up, interruption of welding is unavoidable.
