Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide an ink fixing apparatus which can prevent change in the fixing degree otherwise caused by the color of ink, by arranging a heat supply body at the downstream of a thermal transfer printing section as to be pressed against a paper through a film with no affinity to ink. CONSTITUTION:A transfer ribbon 3 coated with a thermally-fusing ink on the under surface thereof is laid on a printing paper 7 being fed and then, a thermal head 9 is pressed thereagainst to transfer ink thermally. A heat body 16 is pressed on to the paper 7 thus printed through a film 11 with no affinity to ink to fix the ink on the paper.
