Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration in fixture and accordingly the printed surface from being blotted by heading a recording medium during the process after the printing step so that the ink used, may be ,melted again to permeate into the recording medium. CONSTITUTION:A printing tape 9 is prepared by forming a layer 5 containing a thermally melting material upon a layer 6 of thin paper or a film of a refractory flastics. A thermal head 7 is forced into close contact with recording paper 10 through the printing tape by means of an elastic material 8 such as rubber or felt. The thermal head 7 is supplied with an electric power so that the molten material is transferred from the printing tape 9 to the recording paper 10. After that, the heating process is carried out while forcing the paper 10 with the use of a heating roller 12 so that the information, which has been transferred and printed on the paper 10, can be satisfactorily printed without any deterioration in fixture.
