Abstract

PURPOSE:To make the improvement in the purity of molten steel possible and obtain an ingot of less inclusions by directly coupling a molten steel reservoir and a mold pressure adjustably. CONSTITUTION:A molten steel down flow pipe 7 provided in the bottom surface of a molten steel reservoir 1' is inserted into a continuous casting mold 3, after which the molten steel is flowed in the mold.
