Abstract

PURPOSE: To eliminate damage of painted film and reduce efflorescence phenomenone in manufacture of platy roofing material made of asbestos cement by applying thermoplastic coating and applying plastic coating again after curing.
CONSTITUTION: Thermoplastic plastic coating such as acrylic resin emulsion is coated on the surface of hydrous cement raw plate made by wetting and laminating asbestos cement layers containing about 10wt% and 5wt% asbestos, respectively. This is cured naturally to restrain escape of moisture and suppress efflorescence phenomenon. Next, the raw plate is carried into an autoclave and cured finally with saturated steam. After curing, each raw plate is preheated and thermoplastic platstic coating such as acrylic resin and thermosetting plastic coating are coated again on the plastics coated layer to compensate damage of the painted film of the cement raw plate.
