Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain the titled embossed patterns free from delamination and having hardly stained property without requiring a special plate by a method wherein an ultraviolet ray curable paint is coated on a total surface of a base material and, after coating, ultraviolet ray permeable liquid droplets are sprinkled over a surface in an uncured condition to form embossed patterns, thereafter the paint is cured by ultraviolet rays.
CONSTITUTION: An ultraviolet ray curable paint 2 such as a polyester type or the like is coated uniformly by roll coating or the like. Subsequently, while the paint is in a soft uncured condition, an ultraviolet ray permeable liquid, for example, water droplets 3 are sprinkled thereover by a spray method or the like. Thereby, the water droplets 3 is penetrated into a surface of the paint 2 to form crater like recessed portions having a flat bottom portion and a little raised periphery. In this case, the recessed portions 6 are not recessed until reached to the base material. Thereafter, ultraviolet rays are irradiated to the paint 2 to be cured and, at the same time to evaporate the water droplets 3 to obtain a decorative board A.
