Abstract
PURPOSE: To mount a pre-chamber on a motorcycle without spoiling an appearance of the motorcycle, by arranging the pre-chamber in an intake passage through which a compressor is connected to an intake port.
CONSTITUTION: In an intake passage 9 between a compressor C of a turbocharger S and an intake port 5 opened to a combustion chamber 4 composed of a cylinder head 2 and a piston 3, there is provided a pre-chamber 21 which is accomodated inside a dummy tank D, which a driver holds by his knees. This allows the pre- chamber 21 to be mounted without change of the appearance and pressure pulsation in the intake passage 9 to be damped, so that a surging phenomenon of the compressor C can be prevented.
