Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the blowing-through of raw gas in low revolution by arranging a valve upper the exhaust port of a 2-cycle engine and setting the valve so as to be retreated by the discharge pressure.
CONSTITUTION: As to a 2-cycle engine equipped with an exhaust port 7 and an intake port 8 on the side wall of a cylinder 3 and equipped with a piston 4 inside, a valve 10 is arranged upper the combustion chamber 28 opening part in the exhaust port 7. Said valve 10 is connected with a boosting piston 12 which slides in a high-pressure operating pump 19, through a rod 26. Inside the pump 19, a high- pressure chamber 13 and an atmospheric-pressure chamber 16 are formed due to the piston 12, and into the high-pressure chamber 13, exhaust gas is introduced, and in the atmospheric-pressure chamber 16, a spring 15 is arranged to always press the piston 12. Consequently, the sectional area of the exhaust port 17 is made small in low speed operation, and large in high speed operation.
