Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a steady picture and to enable the improvement of an inspection precision, by a method wherein the mouth of a bottle is heated beforehand, and so heated bottle mouth, photographed by an infrared camera, is converted into a picture. CONSTITUTION:After a bottle 8 is heated by an infrared lamp 7, the mouth of the bottle is photographed by means of an infrared camera 9, and is indicated in a monitor television set 10. The heated bottle 8 can be regarded as an infrared rays emitted at a stage of emitting the heat from the heated bottle 8. In case concavity, convexity, or crack on the surface of the bottle mouth exists, the infrared camera takes it as a change in a temperature distribution, and a picture 12 of a faulty part is clearly discriminated from other part. This enables to obtain a stable picture without being affected by stain and waterdrops on the bottle mouth, or an illumination method and an irradiation angle.
