Abstract
PURPOSE:To realize multiplex reproduction without virtually impairing the error correcting capacity of the PCM signal, by inserting the static picture video signal into the PCM signal converted into a video signal with every H and with a period longer than the interleaving period and then recording the video signal to a VTR. CONSTITUTION:The sound signals supplied to sound input terminals 1 and 2 are fed to a PCM encoder 3 to be converted into PCM signals. A readout control circuit 16 which uses the count output of a vertical counter 6 plus the vertical synchronizing signal for the input detects the lead-out timing of the control signal block and the inserting timing of the static picture signal and closes a gate 17. At the same time, the 3rd and 4th analog switches for inserting timing of static picture video signal are opened alternately and leads out the static video signals equivalent to 1H to feed them to a VTR4 along with the PCM signal. In the reproduction mode, the static video signal is separated from the reproduced PCM signal to store the static picture. Then the static picture is projected on a TV screen.
