Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable printing from the end to the end of a sheet to be printed of cut format type in a printing machine for printing on the sheet by employing a planar platen as a platen and providing conveying rollers at the front and rear, thereby eliminating the displaced character printing. CONSTITUTION:When a sheet 1 to be printed is set by an automatic sheet feeder 14 or by manual insertion and a sheet sensor 3 detects the set of the sheet 1, a conveying motor 5 is driven. In other words, the sheet 1 is conveyed via a drive roller 4 driven via a belt 21 and a follower roller 12 pressed on the roller 4 via a spring 11, and is fed to the initial printing line on a planar platen 20. One line is printed via a printing head 6 moving via a carrier motor 7 and a carrier is returned to the next line, and these operations are repeated, and when the desired printing is finished, the sheet is discharged via a drive roller 8 driven simultaneously with the roller 4 and a roller 12.
