Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve convenience at replacement of a cassette, in a paper feeder for an electronic photoduplicating machine or the like, by constituting the feeder such that a separator member is urged by a spring to be press contacted to a paper feeding member provided in a paper feeding bed and retractably provided in the front part of the paper feeder cassette. CONSTITUTION:If a paper feeder cassette 2 is mounted to a paper feeding bed 3, a separator member 9 is forcibly contacted to an intermediate part 5a of an endless belt 5 by a spring 14. This causes movement of the belt 5 to the direction A to feed paper X to the direction A. When the cassette 2 is removed from the paper feeding bed 3, the separator member 9 is moved while being forcibly contacted to a surface of the endless belt 5, and the paper X between the belt 5 and the separator member 9 can be taken off together with the cassette 2, thus the paper can be prevented from being left in a paper feeder. In this way, the cassette can be easily replaced.
