Abstract
PURPOSE:To detect the phase difference in a form of voltage with a simple device, by integrating the output of a phase difference-pulse width converting circuit in accordance with phase advance or phase lag of the phase difference. CONSTITUTION:The load voltage and load current signal converted to pulses is inputted to a phase detecting circuit 15, and it is detected whether the phase difference between two pulses is smaller than 180 deg. or not. A phase difference- pulse width converting circuit 16 outputs a signal of a pulse width proportional to the phase difference if the phase difference is smaller than 180 deg., and the circuit 16 outputs a signal of a pulse width proportional to the difference between 360 deg. and the phase difference if it is larger than 180 deg.. The output of the circuit 16 is inputted to an integrating circuit 22 in the former case and is inputted to an integrating circuit 23 in the latter case by a phase difference separating circuit 21. Outputs of integrating circuits 22 and 23 are inputted to a code translating circuit 24, and the phase difference signal is outputted as a positive voltage in the former case and is outputted as a negative voltage in the latter case.
