Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a mixed fuel exhibiting excellent stability over a long period of time, by a method wherein when the mixed fuel is produced by dispersing coal powder in a hydrocarbon oil in the presence of a surfactant, a blowing agent is mixed together with the above materials or with the produced mixed fuel under blowing conditions.
CONSTITUTION: A coal powder containing at least 50% of a particle size pref. through 200 mesh (e.g. a powder of anthracite or bituminous coal) is mixed with a hydrocarbon oil such as crude oil or light oil in the presence of a surfactant such as alkylbenzene-sulfonate to produce a mixed fuel. In the above production of the mixed fuel, a blowing agent which is a cpd. capable of generating gas by heat decomposition or by the change of pH (e.g. sodium bicarbonate, a nitroso cpd.) is mixed together with the above raw materials or with the above produced mixed fuel under blowing conditions in an amount of 1W1,000ml (calculated as the amount of the generated gas) of the blowing agent per kg of the mixed fuel, to obtain the desired mixed fuel.
