Abstract
PURPOSE:To save power by avoiding power consumption almost other than reset pulse generation. CONSTITUTION:The power supply voltage VDD is picked up as the reset pulse output(f) for clear of IC chip via the voltage division circuit 1, first inverter 2, two input NAND circuit 3, weighting circuit 4, second inverter circuit 5, third inverter circuit 6, and fourth inverter circuit 7. Each circuit is constituted with MOS transistors having the threshold voltage VTH, and the potential at each point (a)-(f) at transient time from the time point t1 of power supply application to the rising of power supply voltage VDD, is as shown in Figure, and the pulse (f) leading for a given period at time t2 and again trailing, is used as the reset pulse.
