Abstract
PURPOSE:To efficiently operate the bootstrap circuit, by producing the clock in the integrated circuit chip and sufficiently charging the bootstrap capacitance with the clock. CONSTITUTION:With the clock PHI1 at L level, MOSFETQ5 is ON, and the capacitor C1 is charged up to Vcc-Vth (where; Vth is the threshold voltage of FET5), and next, with the clock phi1 at H level, although the potential at the node P1 is going to be Vcc+Vth or more, since MOSFETQ4 is ON with this state, the potential at the point P1 is limited to Vcc+Vth. This voltage is fed to the gate of MOSFETQ3 and with phi0' of the output voltage at L level, the potential at the node P3 is at Vcc with FETQ3 perfectly ON and the capacitor C is charged. Further, with phi0' at H level, the potential of the node P3 is Vcc or more and the H level of phi0' is Vcc resulting in obtaining the output without voltage drop. The L level of phi0' is the ground level.
