Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the noise out of the reproduced picture, by detecting the noise phase in the reproduced video signal with the magnetic tape stopped and then repeating the driving of a minute amount for the tape until the tape arrives at the desired position, when reproducing the still picture. CONSTITUTION:The noise of reproduced video signal (a) sent from reproduced video signal input terminal 1 is detected by noise detector 3 to be applied to comparator 5, and thus compared with the output of the 1st reference phase signal generator 4 which generates the pulse at the phase position corresponding to the nondisplay part to which head switch signal (b) is supplied. And in case no coincidence is obtained in terms of the time, noncoincidence signal (e) is delivered for the fixed time. At the same time, the magnetic tape driving pulse is produced from the rear edge of the output of generator 4 and via the 2nd reference phase signal generator 6 to be applied to gate circuit 7 along with signal (e) delivered from comparator 5. And the running command is given to magnetic tape running unit 8 when signal (e) is delivered at the time point when the driving pulse is being delivered. The tape is run continuously in a minute amount until it reaches the desired position, thus eliminating the noise out of the reproduced picture.
