Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the voltage withstandability and the yield by applying high frequency heating on the electrode of electronic gun during or after the activation. CONSTITUTION:The activating operation is completed in exhaust process and the aging process, but the first and second grids are heated by high frequency heater for about 0.5-2 minutes under approx. 800-900 deg.C during or after activating process. Consequently unnecessary electron produced in the tube is reduced while the damage of cathode due to sparking is eliminated to produce a cathode ray tube having improved voltage withstandability with high yield.
