Abstract

PURPOSE: To heighten the surface magnetic flux density, by making the magnetic orientation of a magnet sheet having magnetic anisotropy oblique to the surface of the sheet.
CONSTITUTION: A mixture containing scale-shaped ferrite grains treated to magnetic anisotropy and rubber or synthetic resin is rolled, thereby making the magnet sheet 4 which is magnetically anisotropic and shows ferromagnetism in the direction of the thickness. Such magnet sheets 4 are laminated with one another. The laminated piece 5 is obliquely cut off, thereby obtaining magnet sheets 6 of magnetic orientation oblique to the surfaces. Then, the equal surfaces of the sheets 6 are magnetized. The surface magnetic flux density varies depending on the angle of the magnetic orientation and takes its maximum value at an angle of 30 to 45°. A different method of making the magnetic orientation oblique is to apply an oblique field to the magnet sheet 4 or to use ferrite grains having ferromagnetism oblique to the longitudinal direction.
