Abstract

CONSTITUTION: Preparing anisotropic sheet magnetic material 4 which is ferromagnetic in the thick direction by rolling a mixture of magnetic anisotropy treated scaly ferrite particles and rubber or synthetic resin to orient the ferrite particles in the rolling direction of the sheet, and then winding the sheet 4 on a shaft and forming wedge-shaped cuts 8 in a radial direction with tools 7 having wedge-shaped projections 6. The magnetic orientation changes along projections 6. Then pressing the roll from the outside to compact the cuts 8, providing magnetization yokes between the cut 8 forming portions, and magnetizing to obtain a roll magnet.
