Abstract
PURPOSE: To effect the scanning operation in a sector form in a focal depth by providing a cross-point switch for oscillation, which is operative to effect the sector scanning operation in a manner to vary the focal depth while varying the positions of transmitting and receiving section on a circumference.
CONSTITUTION: Received signals are amplified by a pre-amplifer 11 so that they may be fed to the input wire of a cross-point switch 12. The control wire of the switch 12 is connected with a shift resistor 13, which is made responsive to the output of a frequency-dividing circuit 14 and synchronous with the transmitting side. In case an output appears at the first shift resistor at the transmission side, an output also appears at the first shift resistor at the receiving side. Then, the intersection of the switch 12 is rendered conductive so that it is transmitted as an output to the transverse wire. Those outputs are guided into a delay adding circuit 15- detected by a detecting circuit 16 and fed to a display circuit 17. Corodinate signal generating circuit 18 generates X-Y coordinate signals which correspond to the beam direction of the sector scanning operation
