Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1. コンデンサに結合され、動作の際は、ランプに結合されるコイルを含む 、ランプに電力を供給するための安定器であって、この安定器が: 第1の駆動信号に応答してその導通状態と非導通状態との間で振動する第1の スイッチング素子と、第2の駆動信号に応答してその導通状態と非導通状態との 間で振動するための第2のスイッチング素子とを含むインバータであって、これ によって電力が前記ランプに供給され、各スイッチング素子の間にそれらの非導 通状態において電圧が生成され、電流がコイルを通じて流れる、インバータと; スイッチング期間の間に、前記第1と第2の駆動信号を生成するための駆動回 路であって、第1の制御信号に応答して前記駆動信号の周波数を制御するための 回路を含む、駆動回路と; 前記コイルを流れる電流が、前記二つのスイッチング素子のいずれかに印加さ れる電圧より所定の位相差の範囲内で遅れることを検出し、第1の容量性モード 信号を生成するための第1の容量性モード監視手段と; 前記第1の容量性モード信号の存在に応答して前記第1の制御信号を生成する ための手段を含む制御手段と; を備え、特徴として、この安定器がさらに 前記コイルを流れる電流が、前記二つのスイッチング素子のいずれかに印加さ れる電圧よりも位相において先行することを検出し、このとき、第2の容量性モ ード信号を生成するための第2の容量性モード監視手段と; 前記制御手段内に含まれ、前記第2の容量性モード信号の存在に応答して第2 の制御信号を生成するための手段と; 前記駆動回路内に含まれ、前記第2の制御信号に応答して前記駆動信号の周波 数を制御するための回路と、を備えたことを特徴とする安定器。 2. 前記駆動信号の周波数の値は、前記第2の制御信号が生成された場合の 方が、前記第1の制御信号が生成された場合よりも高いことを特徴とする請求の 範囲1に記載の安定器。 3. 前記駆動信号の周波数は、前記第2の制御信号が生成された場合に、前 記駆動回路が前記第1および第2の駆動信号を生成することができる周波数のう ちで最高の周波数に制御されることを特徴とする請求の範囲1あるいは2に記載 の安定器。 4. 前記第1の容量性モード監視手段は、各駆動信号の立下がりエッジの際 に前記コイルを流れる電流を表すサンプルを調べ、前記サンプルと前記二つのス イッチング素子のいずれかに印加される電圧との間の位相関係を決定するための 手段をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求の範囲1、2、あるいは3に記載の安定 器。 5. 前記第2の容量性モード監視手段は、各駆動信号の立上がりエッジの際 に前記コイルを流れる電流を表すサンプルを調べることで、前記サンプルと前記 二つのスイッチング素子のいずれかに印加される電圧との間の位相関係を、前記 サンプルの極性に基づいて決定するための手段をさらに含むことを特徴とする上 記のいずれかの請求の範囲において記載の安定器。 6. 前記駆動回路は、前記ランプに印加される電圧が所定の閾値以上である ことを検出し、過電圧信号を生成するための過電圧監視手段をさらに含み、前記 制御手段は、前記過電圧信号と前記第1の容量性モード信号の両方の存在に応答 して前記第1の制御信号を生成することを特徴とする上記のいずれかの請求の範 囲において記載の安定器。 7. 前記第1のスイッチング素子と前記第2のスイッチング素子とは、トー テムポール構成を形成するように互いに直列に接続されていることを特徴とする 上記のいずれかの請求の範囲において記載の安定器。 8. 前記駆動信号の周波数は、前記第2の制御信号が生成された場合に、前 記ランプの初期始動の際の前記駆動信号の周波数に等しくされることを特徴とす る上記のいずれかの請求の範囲において記載の安定器。 9. 前記駆動信号の周波数は、前記第1の制御信号が生成された場合に、あ らかじめ定められた速度にて増加されることを特徴とする上記のいずれかの請求 の範囲において記載の安定器。
