Description
Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.複数の可変サイズ記録セッション中にデータを記憶することができるCD− R/E光記憶ディスク上にデータを記録する方法であって、 記録すべきデータを受け取るステップと、 データをそこに記録すべきディスク上の第1の選択された領域の先頭に光学式 ヘッドを配置するステップと、 リード・イン領域およびリード・アウト領域を割り振ることによってセッショ ンを開始するステップと、 データの少なくとも一部を記録するステップと、 第1の選択された領域内に回復不能な誤りが存在するかどうかについて記録さ れたデータを読み取るステップと、 回復不能な誤りが記録されたデータ中に見つからない場合に、リード・アウト 領域およびリード・イン領域を記録し、かつ第1の選択された領域の先頭の位置 を示すエントリを含む目次を更新することによってセッションを固定するステッ プと、 回復不能な誤りが記録されたデータ中に見つかった場合に、 第1の選択された領域の後のディスク上の第2の選択された領域の先頭に光学 式ヘッドを配置するステップと、 データの少なくとも一部を再記録するステップと、 第2の選択された領域内に回復不能な誤りが存在するかどうかについて再記録 されたデータを読み取るステップと、 回復不能な誤りが再記録されたデータ中に見つからない場合に、リード・アウ ト領域およびリード・イン領域を記録し、かつ第1の選択された領域ではなく、 第2の選択された領域の先頭の位置を示すエントリを含む目次を更新することに よってセッションを終了するステップとを含む方法。 2.第1の選択された領域内に回復不能な誤りが存在するかどうかについて記録 されたデータを読み取る前記ステップが、 データ全体が第1の選択された領域内に記録された後で、光学式ヘッドを第1 の選択された領域の先頭に再配置するステップと、 記録されたデータがうまく読み取れることを検証するステップとを含む請求項 1に記載の方法。 3.第1の選択された領域内に回復不能な誤りが存在するかどうかについて記録 されたデータを読み取る前記ステップが、 データが記録されている間に、疑わしい記録誤りが存在するかどうかについて 読戻し信号を分析するステップと、 データのパケットが記録されている間に疑わしい記録誤りが検出された場合に 、 データの記録を停止するステップと、 光学式ヘッドを第1の選択された領域の先頭に再配置するステップと、 記録されたデータがうまく読み取られることを検証するステップとを含む請求 項1に記載の方法。 4.ディスク・ローダ、 光学式ヘッド、 読取り/書込みチャネル、および 記録すべきデータを受け取るステップと、 データをそこに記録すべきディスク上の第1の選択された領域の先頭に前記光 学式ヘッドを配置するステップと、 リード・イン領域およびリード・アウト領域を割り振ることによってセッショ ンを開始するステップと、 データの少なくとも一部を記録するステップと、 データが記録されている間に、疑わしい記録誤りが存在するかどうかについて 読戻し信号を分析するステップと、 データが記録されている間に疑わしい記録誤りが検出された場合に、 データの記録を停止するステップと、 光学式ヘッドを第1の選択された領域の先頭に再配置するステップと、 記録されたデータがうまく読み取れることを検証するステップと、 記録されたデータがうまく読み取れず、かつ回復不可能な誤りが記録されたデ ータ中に見つかった場合に、 光学式ヘッドを第1の選択された領域の後のディスク上の第2の選択された領 域の先頭に配置するステップと、 データの少なくとも一部を再記録するステップと、 記録されたデータがうまく読み取れる場合に、リード・アウト領域およびリー ド・イン領域を記録し、かつ第1の選択 された領域ではなく、第2の選択された領域の先頭の位置を示すエントリを含む 目次を更新することによってセッショシを固定するステップとによってCD−R /E光記憶ディスク上へのデータのパケットの記録を指示するコントローラを含 む光学式駆動装置。
