Claims (4)
- 크기가 가변적인 다수의 기록 세션(a plurality of variable sized recording sessions)에 데이터를 저장할 수 있는 씨디-알/이 광 저장 디스크(CD-R/E optical storage disk) 상에 데이터를 기록하는 방법에 있어서,기록할 데이터를 수신하는 단계;상기 데이터를 기록할 디스크 상의 제 1 선택 영역(a first selected area)의 시작점에 광 헤드(optical head)를 위치시키는 단계;리드-인 영역(lead-in area)과 리드-아웃 영역(lead-out area)을 할당하여 세션을 개방하는 단계;상기 데이터의 적어도 일부를 기록하는 단계;상기 제 1 선택 영역에 복구불가능한 에러(unrecoverable errors)가 있는 지를 알기 위하여, 상기 기록한 데이터를 판독하는 단계;상기 기록한 데이터에서 어떤 복구불가능한 에러도 발견되지 않으면, 리드-인 영역과 리드-아웃 영역을 기록하고 상기 제 1 선택 영역의 시작점의 위치를 나타내는 엔트리(entry)를 포함하는 콘텐츠 테이블(table of contents)을 갱신하여 세션을 고정하는(fixing) 단계;상기 기록한 데이터에서 복구불가능한 에러가 발견되면:상기 제 1 선택 영역에 후속하는 디스크 상의 제 2 선택 영역의 시작점에 광 헤드를 위치시키고;데이터의 적어도 일부를 재기록하며;상기 제 2 선택 영역에 복구불가능한 에러가 있는지를 알기 위하여 재기록한 데이터를 판독하고;상기 재기록한 데이터에서 복구불가능한 에러가 발견되지 않으면, 리드-인 영역과 리드-아웃 영역을 기록하고 상기 제 1 선택 영역이 아니라 상기 제 2 선택 영역의 시작점의 위치를 나타내는 엔트리를 포함하는 콘텐츠 테이블을 갱신하여 세션을 폐쇄하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 CD-R/E 광 저장 디스크의 데이터 기록 방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 제 1 선택 영역에 복구불가능한 에러가 있는 지를 알기 위하여 상기 기록한 데이터를 판독하는 단계는:전체 데이터(the entire data)를 상기 제 1 선택 영역에 기록한 후, 상기 제 1 선택 영역의 시작점에 광 헤드를 재위치시키는 단계와;상기 기록한 데이터가 성공적으로 판독될 수 있는 지를 확인하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 CD-R/E 광 저장 디스크의 데이터 기록 방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 제 1 선택 영역에 복구불가능한 에러가 있는 지를 알기 위하여 상기 기록한 데이터를 판독하는 단계는:데이터를 기록하는 동안, 의심쩍은 기록 에러가 있는 지의 여부를 알기 위하여 되판독 신호(a read-back signal)를 분석하는 단계;데이터 패킷을 기록하는 동안 의심쩍은 기록 에러가 검출되면,데이터 기록을 중단하고,상기 제 1 선택 영역의 시작점에 광 헤드를 재위치시키며,기록한 데이터가 성공적으로 판독될 수 있는 지를 확인하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 CD-R/E 광 저장 디스크의 데이터 기록 방법.
- 광 드라이브 유닛(optical drive unit)에 있어서:디스크 로더(disk loader);광 헤드;판독 및 기록 채널(read and write channels); 및CD-R/E 광 저장 디스크에 대한 데이터 패킷 기록(recordation of a packet of data)을 관리하는 제어부를 구비하고, 상기 제어부에 의한 관리는:기록할 데이터를 수신하고;상기 데이터를 기록할 디스크 상의 제 1 선택 영역의 시작점에 광 헤드를 위치시키고;리드-인 영역과 리드-아웃 영역을 할당하여 세션을 개방하고;상기 데이터의 적어도 일부를 기록하고;데이터를 기록하는 동안, 의심쩍은 기록 에러가 있는 지의 여부를 알기 위하여 되판독 신호를 분석하고;데이터를 기록하는 동안 의심쩍은 기록 에러가 검출되면,데이터 기록을 중단하고,상기 제 1 선택 영역의 시작점에 상기 광 헤드를 재위치시키며,상기 기록한 데이터가 성공적으로 판독될 수 있는 지를 확인하고;상기 기록한 데이터가 성공적으로 판독될 수 없고, 상기 기록한 데이터에서 복구불가능한 에러가 발견되면:상기 제 1 선택 영역에 후속하는 상기 디스크 상의 제 2 선택 영역의 시작점에 상기 광 헤드를 위치시키고;상기 데이터의 적어도 일부를 재기록하며;상기 기록한 데이터가 성공적으로 판독될 수 있을 때, 리드-인 영역과 리드-아웃 영역을 기록하고 상기 제 1 선택 영역이 아니라 상기 제 2 선택 영역의 시작점의 위치를 나타내는 엔트리를 포함하는 콘텐츠 테이블을 갱신함으로써 세션을 고정하는 식으로 행해지는것을 특징으로 하는 광 드라이브 유닛.
