Description
図1は、本実施形態のエンジンの制御装置が適用されたエンジンシステム100の概略構成図である。
図2を用いて、エンジンシステムの制御系について説明する。本実施形態のエンジンシステム100は、主として、車両に搭載されたPCM(制御手段、パワートレイン制御モジュール)200によって制御される。PCM200は、CPU、ROM、RAM、I/F等から構成されるマイクロプロセッサであり、本発明にかかる制御手段に相当する。
後述するDeNOx制御、DeSOx制御およびDPF再生制御(フィルタ再生制御)を実施しない通常運転時に実施する通常制御では、燃費性能を高めるべく、燃焼室6内の混合気の空燃比(以下、単に、混合気の空燃比という場合がある)が理論空燃比よりもリーン(λ>1、例えばλ=1.7程度)にされる。例えば、通常制御では、混合気の空気過剰率λはλ=1.7程度とされる。また、通常制御では、ポスト噴射は停止されてメイン噴射のみが実施される。また、通常制御では、グロープラグ11の作動は停止される。また、通常制御では、第1EGRバルブ57、第2EGRバルブ60、吸気側バイパスバルブ26、排気側バイパスバルブ49、ウエストゲートバルブ54は、それぞれ、エンジン本体1の運転状態、例えば、エンジン回転数とエンジン負荷等に応じて、EGR率および過給圧がそれぞれ適切な値になるように制御される。
NOx触媒41に吸蔵されたNOx(以下、適宜、吸蔵NOxという)を還元NOx触媒41から放出(離脱)させるための制御であるDeNOx制御について説明する。
DPF44に捕集されたPMを除去してDPF44の浄化能力を再生するための制御であるDPF再生制御の概要を説明する。
NOx触媒41に吸蔵されたSOx(以下、適宜、吸蔵SOxという)を還元して除去するための制御であるDeSOx制御について次に説明する。
次に、アクティブDeNOx制御、DPF再生制御およびDeSOx制御の流れについて図4のフローチャートを用いて説明する。
以上のように、本実施形態では、DeNOx制御およびDeSOx制御の実施によってNOx触媒に吸蔵されたNOxおよびSOxを適切に還元させて除去することができる。また、DPF再生制御の実施によってDPF44に捕集されているPMを適切に燃焼して除去することができる。従って、NOx触媒41およびDPF44の浄化性能を高くすることができる。
前記実施形態では、第1領域R1でエンジン本体1が運転されているときに、アクティブDeNOx制御およびこれに続くDPF再生制御およびDeSOx制御が実施される場合について説明したが、これらの制御は、第1領域R1以外で実施されてもよい。

Claims (5)
- 気筒が形成されたエンジン本体と、当該エンジン本体から排出された排気が流通する排気通路に設けられて、排気の空燃比が理論空燃比よりもリーンな状態であるときに排気中のNOxを吸蔵し且つ排気の空燃比が理論空燃比近傍あるいは理論空燃比よりもリッチなときに吸蔵したNOxを還元して放出するNOx触媒と、前記NOx触媒と一体に、もしくは、これよりも上流側の排気通路に設けられて排気中の未燃燃料を酸化可能な酸化触媒と、前記酸化触媒よりも下流側の排気通路に設けられて排気中の微粒子状物質を捕集可能なPMフィルタとを備えるエンジンの制御装置であって、
エンジントルクを得るための燃料を前記気筒内に噴射するメイン噴射と、当該メイン噴射よりも遅角側の時期に前記気筒内に燃料を噴射するポスト噴射とを実施可能な燃料噴射装置と、
排気の空燃比が理論空燃比近傍あるいは理論空燃比よりもリッチとなり且つ前記ポスト噴射により前記気筒内に供給された燃料が前記気筒内で燃焼するように前記燃料噴射装置に前記メイン噴射および前記ポスト噴射を行わせるDeNOx制御と、排気の空燃比が理論空燃比よりもリーンとなるように前記燃料噴射装置に前記メイン噴射および前記ポスト噴射を行わせ且つ前記ポスト噴射により前記気筒内に供給される燃料が前記気筒内で燃焼しない時期に前記燃料噴射装置に前記ポスト噴射を行わせるフィルタ再生制御とを実施する制御手段とを備え、
前記制御手段は、前記DeNOx制御と前記フィルタ再生制御とを、この順で連続して実施する、ことを特徴とするエンジンの制御装置。 - 請求項1に記載のエンジンの制御装置において、
前記制御手段は、排気の空燃比が理論空燃比近傍あるいは理論空燃比よりもリッチとなり且つ前記ポスト噴射により前記気筒内に供給された燃料が前記気筒内で燃焼するように前記燃料噴射装置に前記メイン噴射と前記ポスト噴射とを実施させるリッチステップと、排気の空燃比が理論空燃比よりもリーンとなるように前記燃料噴射装置に前記メイン噴射および前記ポスト噴射を行わせ且つ前記ポスト噴射により前記気筒内に供給される燃料が前記気筒内で燃焼しない時期に前記燃料噴射装置に前記ポスト噴射を実施させるリーンステップとを交互に実施するDeSOx制御を、前記フィルタ再生制御の開始後前記PMフィルタに堆積している微粒子状物質の量が予め設定された基準量以下になった後に開始させる、ことを特徴とするエンジンの制御装置。 - 請求項2に記載のエンジンの制御装置において、
前記基準量は0より大きい値に設定されていることを特徴とするエンジンの制御装置。 - 請求項2または3に記載のエンジンの制御装置において、
前記エンジン本体に吸気を導入する吸気通路と前記排気通路とを連通するEGR通路と、当該EGR通路を開閉するEGRバルブとをさらに備え、
前記制御手段は、
前記DeSOx制御のリッチステップの実施時において、前記EGRバルブの開度を仮に前記リッチステップを実施しないとしたときよりも閉じ側の開度に制御するとともに、前記フィルタ再生制御の実施時において、前記EGRバルブの開度を前記DeSOx制御の実施時よりもさらに閉じ側の開度に制御することを特徴とするエンジンの制御装置。 - 請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載のエンジンの制御装置において、
前記エンジン本体に吸気を導入する吸気通路と前記排気通路とを連通するEGR通路と、当該EGR通路を開閉するEGRバルブとをさらに備え、
前記制御手段は、
前記DeNOx制御の実施時において、前記EGRバルブの開度を仮に当該DeNOx制御を実施しないとしたときよりも閉じ側の開度に制御するとともに、前記フィルタ再生制御の実施時において、前記EGRバルブの開度を前記DeNOx制御の実施時よりもさらに閉じ側の開度に制御することを特徴とするエンジンの制御装置。
