Description
光エネルギーまたは磁気エネルギー等の外部刺激を用いた電力状態の変更の例示的な実施形態
先に述べたように、製造プロセスの完了後の、例えば出荷待ちの間、“棚に残っている”間、または別様で顧客または被験者による最初の使用を待つ間等、システム100が用いられない長い期間が生じる場合がある。この期間に、センサ制御装置102は、内蔵電源260の寿命を節約するために、最小限の電力を用い得る。センサ制御装置102は低電力状態であり得るか、または、電源260がセンサ電子装置250の残りの部分から電気的に絶縁されている場合には、完全に非作動にされ得る。製造後の開始、即ち作動が無線信号を用いて行われる実施形態は、本明細書に組み込まれる米国特許仮出願シリアル番号第61/817,839号明細書に記載されている。以下の実施形態は、上記の無線に基づく実施形態と自由に置き換えることができる。
無線送信を用いて電力状態を変更するための例示的な実施形態
ここで、センサ制御装置102の作動、センサ制御装置102との通信の確立、および/または(例えば、前の通信セッションが修了した後の)センサ制御装置102との通信の再確立に用いられ得る更なる実施形態を述べる。これらの実施形態は、読取器装置120からセンサ制御装置102に1以上のRF送信を送信することを含む。幾つかの実施形態では、RF送信は、「Bluetooth」プロトコルに準拠して約2400〜2480メガヘルツ(MHz)(または2.4〜2.48ギガヘルツ(GHz))のRFバンドで送信され、他の実施形態では、通信はNFCプロトコルや他のプロトコルに準拠して行われ、他の周波数帯域が用いられてもよい。
センサ構成
システム100を用いてモニタリングされ得る検体は、アセチルコリン、アミラーゼ、ビリルビン、コレステロール、絨毛性ゴナドトロピン、グリコシル化ヘモグロビン(HbAlc)、クレアチンキナーゼ(例えばCK−MB)、クレアチン、クレアチニン、DNA、フルクトサミン、グルコース、グルコース誘導体、グルタミン、成長ホルモン、ホルモン、ケトン、ケトン体、乳酸、酸素、過酸化物、前立腺特異抗原、プロトロンビン、RNA、甲状腺刺激ホルモン、およびトロポニンが挙げられるが、それらに限定されない。例えば、抗生物質(例えば、ゲンタマイシン、バンコマイシン等)、ジギトキシン、ジゴキシン、乱用薬物、テオフィリン、およびワルファリン等といった薬の濃度がモニタリングされてもよい。2以上の検体をモニタリングする実施形態では、単一のセンサを用いて、同じ電子装置を(例えば、同時に)用い得る複数のセンサを用いて、またはセンサ制御装置102の異なる電子装置を用いて、検体を同時にまたは異なる時間にモニタリングしてもよい。
Claims (17)
- ユーザの連続グルコースモニタリングのための装置が、
前記ユーザの身体に挿入可能な検体センサと共に動作可能なセンサ制御装置を備え、該センサ制御装置が、
前記検体センサから受信したデータを処理するよう構成された検体モニタリング回路と、
前記検体モニタリング回路と通信可能に接続されたプロセッサと、
前記プロセッサと接続された光作動センサを含む作動回路であって、前記光作動センサが光学的な光を感知すると、前記プロセッサに電力を供給して前記プロセッサが動作を開始できるようにするために前記プロセッサに電源を接続するよう構成された作動回路と、
を備え、
前記光作動センサが、前記センサ制御装置のハウジングの透明又は半透明の窓に隣接させて前記センサ制御装置内に収容されてあって、前記センサ制御装置が、該センサ制御装置を前記ユーザに取り付けるための接着剤で覆われた表面を有し、前記表面の一部は、前記光学的な光が前記窓を通過するのを可能にするため前記接着剤で覆われていないことを特徴とするユーザの連続グルコースモニタリングのための装置。 - 前記光作動センサが、前記光学的な光を感知すると電流が流れるのを可能にする光学的に作動可能なスイッチである、請求項1記載の装置。
- 前記光作動センサが光ダイオード又は光トランジスタである、請求項1記載の装置。
- 前記センサ制御装置が前記電源を含む、請求項1記載の装置。
- 前記プロセッサが前記電源に接続されると開始ルーチンを行い、前記作動回路に、前記電源からの電力を受け取り続けるために前記光作動センサをバイパスさせる、請求項4記載の装置。
- 前記センサ制御装置と接続され、前記センサ制御装置を前記ユーザに適用するためのアプリケータであって、前記光作動センサが前記光学的な光に露出されるのを防止するカバーを有するアプリケータを更に備える、請求項1記載の装置。
- 前記カバーが、前記アプリケータに着脱可能なエンドキャップである、請求項6記載の装置。
- 前記センサ制御装置が前記アプリケータ内に収容され、前記エンドキャップが、前記アプリケータの開口部を覆って配置された、請求項7記載の装置。
- 「Bluetooth」(登録商標)送信器を更に備える、請求項1記載の装置。
- 前記センサ制御装置が、アラーム条件が存在するか否かを決定するために、感知された検体データを解釈する、請求項1記載の装置。
- 前記検体センサを更に備える、請求項1記載の装置。
- ユーザの連続検体モニタリングのためのセンサ制御装置を準備する方法が、
前記センサ制御装置を収容しているアプリケータからカバーを除去する工程と、
光作動センサが前記センサ制御装置内のプロセッサの作動を開始させるように、前記光作動センサを光学的な光に露出させる工程と、
を備え、
前記光作動センサが、前記センサ制御装置のハウジングの透明又は半透明の窓に隣接させて前記センサ制御装置内に収容されてあって、前記センサ制御装置が、該センサ制御装置を前記ユーザに接続するための接着剤で覆われた表面を有し、前記表面の一部は、前記露出させる工程において前記光学的な光に前記窓を通過させるために前記接着剤で覆われていない、
前記センサ制御装置を準備する方法。 - 前記カバーが、前記アプリケータに着脱可能なエンドキャップである、請求項12記載の方法。
- 読取器装置を用いて、前記プロセッサの開始の確認を行う工程を更に備える、請求項12記載の方法。
- 前記光作動センサが、前記光学的な光に露出されると、前記プロセッサを作動させるための電源による電力供給を可能にする、請求項12記載の方法。
