Abstract
Description
従来、反射型液晶パネルの表面側に補助光源としてフロントライトを設けた反射型の液晶表示装置が知られている。特許文献1の液晶表示装置では、フロントライトと液晶パネルとを積層するために、フロントケース、リアケース、セルケースの多くの枠状部材を使用するので構造が複雑であった。また、枠状の保護具をさらに枠状のセルケース内に収容するため、液晶パネルの周囲を包囲する枠幅が広くなる傾向にあった。その一方で、フロントライトは、薄厚の面材であるため、枠状部材を狭縁として固定強度が低下すると、熱膨張により光源との位置ズレが生じる懸念があった。位置ズレが生じれば画像に色ムラが生じた。この位置ズレは、樹脂製の導光板を使用した場合に顕著となった。

Claims (5)
- 表示面と反対の背面に反射層を有する四角形状の液晶パネルと、
前記液晶パネルより大きい外形の四角形で形成され、前記表示面に接着層を介して密着固定されるとともに、一端面から入射した光を乱反射させて前記表示面へ向けて出射させるガラス製の導光板と、
前記一端面に対向配置した光源固定板に前記一端面へ光を入射させる光源が搭載される光源保持板と、
前記導光板と略同一の四角形で形成され、前記液晶パネルの背面に平行に配置されるとともに、前記光源保持板に支持される背面部を有し、この背面部の前記一端面に沿う下端縁には前記光源を挟む両側に前記背面部から垂直に曲げられて前記一端面を支持する一対の位置決め用曲げ部が形成される背面フレームと、を備える、
液晶表示装置。 - 前記背面部の上端縁には、前記背面部から垂直に曲げられ、前記一端面と平行な前記導光板の他端面に間隙を有して対向する保持用折り曲げ部が形成され、
前記間隙には、前記他端面に押圧されて圧縮された弾性体が配置される、
請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。 - 前記一対の位置決め用曲げ部は、前記表示面の外側に設けられる、
請求項1または2に記載の液晶表示装置。 - 前記位置決め用曲げ部と前記一端面との間に、薄厚の樹脂シートが挟み入れられる、
請求項1〜3のうちいずれか一項に記載の液晶表示装置。 - 前記背面部の一対の折曲側板部、前記光源固定板および前記保持用折り曲げ部は、一体に形成され、前記導光板の各辺に沿う長手方向の全長に渡り連続して折り曲げ形成される、
