Description
超硬合金の様々なスラリーを、WC及びCr3C2、Coのような硬質成分並びにPEGの粉末と、エタノール/水の重量比が90/10である液体とをブレンドすることによって調製した。与えられたWC粒度及びCo粒度はFisher粒度(FSSS)である。スラリーの乾燥構成成分の組成及び原材料の特性を表1に示す。重量%で示されたCo、WC及びCr3C2の量はスラリー中の総乾燥粉末成分に基づく。PEGの量は、スラリーの総乾燥粉末成分に基づき、この場合、PEGの量は、スラリーの乾燥粉末成分に含められない。
実施例1からの組成1を有するスラリーを次いで、本発明によるResodynアコースティックミキサー(LabRAM)を使用するか、又は通常のペイントシェーカー(Natalie de Lux)を使用する混合操作に付し、スラリーを次いで90℃でパン乾燥した。混合条件を表2で表示する。
実施例1からの組成2aを有するスラリーを、Resodynアコースティックミキサー(LabRAM)又は通常のペイントシェーカー(Natalie de Lux)のいずれかを用いた混合操作に付し、スラリーを次いで90℃でパン乾燥した。混合条件を表4に表示する。
実施例1からの組成3aを有するスラリーを、Resodynアコースティックミキサー(LabRAM)を使用する混合操作に付し、スラリーを次いで90℃にてパン乾燥した。混合条件を表6で示す。
硬質相WC及びバインダー相Coを含んでなる超硬合金の試料を製造した。WC原材料は、走査型電子顕微鏡で目視調査によって測定して平均FSSS粒度2μmを有し、典型的に球状の形態を有する単結晶WCであった。
硬質相WC及びバインダー相Coを含んでなる超硬合金の試料を製造した。表9によるWC及びCoの粉末をボールミル中で10時間、3.6:1のミリング体対粉末比にて湿式ミリングし、噴霧乾燥し、圧縮して、ドリルビットの形状の物体を得た。圧縮体を真空、1410℃の温度でGPS焼結して、超硬合金の高密度試料にした。試料を比較例3と表示する。
球状形態を有するWC原材料をコーティングするために酢酸コバルトを使用するEP752921によるゾル−ゲル法によって超硬合金を製造した。コーティング後、スラリーを乾燥し、酢酸Coを水素で450℃にて還元する。2重量%のCoを含有するコーティングされた乾燥粉末をミリング容器に、エタノール・水混合物及び潤滑剤を含む比較例4のようなグレードの組成を得るために調節された追加の4重量%Coとともに添加し、続いて「穏やかなミリング」を行い、2.7:1のミリング体対粉末比で湿式ミリングを行って、均一性を達成した。原材料粉末は表3で規定する。
実施例5、6及び7からの超硬合金試料を粒度、硬度及び多孔率に関して分析した。飽和保磁力を標準的方法ISO3326によって測定した。
Claims (14)
- 超硬合金又はサーメット体を作成する方法であって:
・硬質成分を形成する粉末及び金属バインダーを含んでなる粉末ブレンドを形成するステップ、
・共振条件を達成する周波数を有する音波を使用して混合粉末ブレンドを形成する非接触型ミキサーを用いる混合操作に前記粉末ブレンドを付すステップであって、使用される周波数が20〜80Hzであるステップ、
・前記混合粉末ブレンドを形成及び焼結操作に付すステップ
を含んでなる、方法。 - 使用される周波数が50〜70Hzである、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 有機バインダーが前記粉末ブレンドに添加されることによって特徴づけられる、請求項1又は2のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 混合液体を前記粉末ブレンドに添加して、前記混合操作の前にスラリーを形成することを特徴とする、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記スラリーを、噴霧乾燥によって実施される乾燥ステップに付す、請求項4に記載の方法。
- 前記硬質成分の1以上が、周期律表の4、5及び6族の金属のホウ化物、炭化物、窒化物又は炭窒化物から選択される、請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記バインダー金属粉末が、単一のバインダー金属、又は2以上の金属の粉末ブレンド、又は2以上の金属の合金の粉末のいずれかであることを特徴とし、前記バインダー金属がCr、Mo、Fe、Co又はNiから選択される、請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記焼結を、1350〜1500℃の焼結温度でガス圧焼結によって実施することを特徴とする、請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記焼結を、1350〜1500℃の焼結温度で真空焼結によって実施することを特徴とする、請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- WC−Co系超硬合金体が作成される、請求項1〜9のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記WC−Co系超硬合金体が、単結晶であるWC原材料から作られ、焼結後の前記WC粒子が球状又は角のある形状を有する、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 焼結後の前記粒子が球状形態を有し、1.5未満のリレイ比を有することを特徴とする、請求項11に記載の方法。
- 焼結後の前記粒子が1.5を上回るリレイ比を有する角のある形状を有することを特徴とする、請求項11に記載の方法。
- サーメット体が作成される、請求項1〜9のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
