Description
1)上記吸収体が、繊維状基材と高吸水性ポリマーを主な構成要素としてなり、該吸収体の総重量の45〜90重量%が上記高吸水性ポリマーである。
1’)上記吸収体が2つ以上の層からなり、少なくとも1つの層が、上記繊維状基材からなる層であり、少なくとも他の1つの層が上記高吸水性ポリマーからなる層又は上記高吸水性ポリマーと上記繊維状基材との混合物からなる層であり、且つ上記繊維状基材からなる層は、解繊、積層されたパルプ繊維をバインダーで接着したシート状の層である。
2)上記高吸水性ポリマーは、表面部分の架橋密度が高い架橋体粒子からなり、その遠心脱水法による生理食塩水の吸水量が25g/g以上である。
3)上記高吸水性ポリマー0.5gを断面積4.91cm2(内径25mmφ)の円筒に生理食塩水と共に充填し、該生理食塩水により該高吸水性ポリマーを飽和状態に達するまで膨潤させ、膨潤した該高吸水性ポリマーが沈降した後に生理食塩水50mlを通過させた際の液通過時間が20秒以下である。

本発明の吸水性樹脂粉末は、上記のように構成されることにより、吸収体に使用された場合に、体液を吸収体の下方に素早く通すことができる。その結果、吸水性樹脂粉末の含有率が高くても、吸収速度が大きく、吸収体表面のドライ感に優れ、排泄された体液の逆戻りが生じにくい吸収体が得られる。また、繰り返し体液を吸収しても吸収速度が減少しにくい。

(嵩密度の測定方法)
JIS K6219−2 2005に準じて嵩密度の測定を行なう。試料である吸水性樹脂粉末を、質量及び体積既知の円筒容器(直径100mmのステンレス製容器、容量1000ml)の中心部へ該容器の下端から50mm以下の高さから注ぎ込む。このとき、注ぎ込まれた試料が円筒容器の上端よりも上方で三角錐を形成するように、十分な量の試料を円筒容器内に注ぎ込む。そして、へらを用いて円筒容器の上端よりも上方にある余剰の試料を払い落とし、この状態で該容器の質量を測定し、その測定値から容器の質量を差し引くことで、試料の質量を求め、これを容器の体積で除して、目的とする嵩密度を算出する。測定は5回行い(n=5)、上下各1点の値を削除し、残る3点の平均値を測定値とした。尚、これらの測定は23±2℃、相対湿度50±5%で行い、測定の前に試料を同環境で24時間以上保存した後に測定する。
100mLのガラスビーカーに、生理食塩水(0.9重量%塩化ナトリウム水)50mLとマグネチックスターラーチップ(中央部直径8mm、両端部直径7mm、長さ30mmで、表面がフッ素樹脂コーティングされているもの)を入れ、ビーカーをマグネチックスターラー(アズワン製HPS−100)に載せる。マグネチックスターラーの回転数を600±60rpmに調整し、生理食塩水を撹拌させる。試料2.0gを、撹拌中の食塩水の渦の中心部で液中に投入し、JIS K 7224(1996)に準拠して該吸水性樹脂粉末の吸水速度(秒)を測定する。具体的には、試料である吸水性樹脂粉末のビーカーへの投入が完了した時点でストップウォッチをスタートさせ、スターラーチップが試験液に覆われた時点(渦が消え、液表面が平らになった時点)でストップウォッチを止め、その時間(秒)を吸水速度として記録する。測定は5回行い(n=5)、上下各1点の値を削除し、残る3点の平均値を測定値とした。尚、これらの測定は23±2℃、相対湿度50±5%で行い、測定の前に試料を同環境で24時間以上保存した後に測定する。
100mLのガラスビーカーに、試料である吸水性樹脂粉末0.32±0.005gを生理食塩水(0.9重量%塩化ナトリウム水)100mLに浸して60分間放置することで膨潤させた。別途、垂直に立てた円筒(内径25.4mm)の開口部の下端に、金網(目開き150μm、株式会社三商販売のバイオカラム焼結ステンレスフィルター30SUS)と、コック(内径2mm)付き細管(内径4mm、長さ8cm)とが備えられた濾過円筒管を用意し、コックを閉鎖した状態で円筒管内に、膨潤した測定試料を含む前記ビーカーの内容物全てを投入する。次いで、目開きが150μmで直径が25mmである金網を先端に備えた直径2mmの円柱棒を濾過円筒管内に挿入して、金網と測定試料とが接するようにし、更に測定試料に2.0kPaの荷重が加わるようおもりを載せる。この状態で1分間放置した後、コックを開いて液を流し、濾過円筒管内の液面が60mLの目盛り線から40mLの目盛り線に達する(つまり20mLの液が通過する)までの時間(T1)(秒)を計測する。計測された時間T1(秒)を用い、次式から2.0kPaでの荷重下通液速度を算出する。尚、式中、T0(秒)は、濾過円筒管内に測定試料を入れないで、生理食塩水20mlが金網を通過するのに要する時間を計測した値である。
荷重下通液速度(秒)=(T1−T0)
測定は5回行い(n=5)、上下各1点の値を削除し、残る3点の平均値を測定値とした。尚、これらの測定は23±2℃、相対湿度50±5%で行い、測定の前に試料を同環境で24時間以上保存した後で測定する。
試料10.0gを底面の直径52mm、高さ22mmのアルミニウムカップ(東洋エコー株式会社、ホイルコンテナー、品番107)に均一に入れ、40℃、相対湿度80%RHの恒温恒湿槽中で3時間静置する。その後12メッシュの金網で軽く篩い、吸湿によりブロッキングして12メッシュをパスしない測定サンプルの粉末状物の質量、および12メッシュをパスした試料の重量測定を測定し、次式に従って目的とする吸湿ブロッキング率を算出する。
吸湿ブロッキング率(%)=(放置後の12メッシュをパスしない試料の重量)/(放置後の12メッシュをパスしない試料の重量+放置後の12メッシュをパスした試料の重量)×100
測定は5回行い(n=5)、上下各1点の値を削除し、残る3点の平均値を測定値とした。尚、測定は23±2℃、湿度50±5%で行い、測定の前に試料を同環境で24時間以上保存した後で測定する。
吸収倍率の測定は、JIS K 7223(1996)に準拠して行う。目開き63μmのナイロン網(JIS Z8801−1:2000)を幅10cm、長さ40cmの長方形に切断して長手方向中央で二つ折りにし、両端をヒートシールして幅10cm(内寸9cm)、長さ20cmのナイロン袋を作製する。測定試料1.00gを精秤し、作製したナイロン袋の底部に均一になるように入れる。試料の入ったナイロン袋を、生理食塩水に浸漬させる。浸漬開始から60分後にナイロン袋を生理食塩水から取り出し、1時間垂直状態に吊るして水切りした後、試料の質量(F1)を測定する。また、試料を用いないで同様の操作を行い、そのときの質量F0(g)を測定する。そして、これら質量F1、F0および試料の質量から、次式に従って、目的とする吸収倍率を算出する。
吸収倍率(g/g)=(F1−F0)/試料の質量
保水量の測定は、JIS K 7223(1996)に準拠して行う。目開き63μmのナイロン網(JIS Z8801−1:2000)を幅10cm、長さ40cmの長方形に切断して長手方向中央で二つ折りにし、両端をヒートシールして幅10cm(内寸9cm)、長さ20cmのナイロン袋を作製する。測定試料1.00gを精秤し、作製したナイロン袋の底部に均一になるように入れる。試料の入ったナイロン袋を、生理食塩水に浸漬させる。浸漬開始から60分後にナイロン袋を生理食塩水から取り出し、1時間垂直状態に吊るして水切りした後、遠心脱水器(コクサン(株)製、型式H−130C特型)を用いて脱水する。脱水条件は、143G(800rpm)で2分間とする。脱水後の質量(R1)を測定する。また、試料を用いないで同様の操作を行い、そのときの質量R0(g)を測定する。そして、これら質量R1、R0および試料の質量から、次式に従って、目的とする保水量を算出する。
保水量(g/g)=(R1−R0−試料の質量)/試料の質量
人工尿(塩化カリウム0.03重量%、硫酸マグネシウム0.08重量%、塩化ナトリウム0.8重量%及び脱イオン水99.09重量%)の中に吸収体を浸し、60分放置して調製し、十分に湿らせた吸収体を作製した。また、吸収体を80℃、2時間加熱乾燥して、十分に乾燥させた吸収体を作製した。十分に湿らせた吸収体の上に、SDME(Surface Dryness Measurement Equipment)試験器(WK system社製)の検出器を置き、0%ドライネス値を設定した。次に、十分に乾燥させた吸収体の上に、SDME試験器の検出器を置き100%ドライネスを設定し、SDME試験器の校正を行った。次に、測定する吸収体の中央に金属リング(内径70mm、長さ50mm)をセットし、人工尿20mlを注入し、人工尿を吸収し終えるまでの時間を測定し吸収速度を求めた。吸収し終えた後、直ちに金属リングを取り去り、吸収体の中央及びその左右{中央から等間隔に3箇所}にSDME検出器を3つ載せて、表面ドライネス値の測定を開始し、測定開始から1分後の値を表面ドライネス値とした。30分放置後2回目の人工尿を注入した。操作は、1回目と同様の操作を行い、2回目の吸収速度、及び2回目の表面ドライネス値を求めた。なお、人工尿、測定雰囲気及び放置雰囲気は、25±5℃、65±10%RHで行った。
<合成例1>
水溶性エチレン性不飽和モノマー(a1−1){アクリル酸、三菱化学株式会社製、純度100%}155質量部(2.15モル部)、内部架橋剤(b1){ペンタエリスリトールトリアリルエーテル、ダイソ−株式会社製}0.6225質量部(0.0024モル部)及び脱イオン水340.27質量部を撹拌・混合しながら1℃に保った。この混合物中に窒素を流入して溶存酸素量を0.1ppm以下とした後、1%過酸化水素水溶液0.31質量部、1%アスコルビン酸水溶液1.1625質量部及び0.5%の2,2’−アゾビス[2−メチル−N−(2−ヒドロキシエチル)−プロピオンアミド]水溶液2.325質量部を添加・混合して重合を開始させた。混合物の温度が85℃に達した後、85±2℃で約10時間重合することにより含水ゲル(1)を得た。次に、この含水ゲル(1)502.27質量部をミンチ機(ROYAL社製12VR−400K)で細断しながら48.5%水酸化ナトリウム水溶液128.42質量部を添加して混合し、さらにエチレングリコールジグリシジルエーテルの1%水溶液3質量部を添加して混合して細断ゲル(2)を得た。さらに細断ゲル(2)を通気型バンド乾燥機{200℃、風速5m/秒}で乾燥し、乾燥体を得た。乾燥体をジューサーミキサー(Oster社製OSTERIZER BLENDER)にて粉砕した後、目開き150μm及び710μmのふるいを用いて150μm〜710μmの粒度に調整することにより、乾燥体粒子を得た。この乾燥体粒子100質量部を高速撹拌(細川ミクロン製高速攪拌タービュライザー:回転数2000rpm)しながらエチレングリコールジグリシジルエーテルの2%水/メタノール混合溶液(水/メタノールの重量比=70/30)の5質量部をスプレー噴霧しながら加えて混合し、150℃で30分間静置して表面架橋することにより、(A)架橋重合体を得た。この(A)架橋重合体100質量部に対し、(B)表面改質剤としてシリカ(東新化成株式会社製アエロジル 380)0.5質量部、及び、カルボキシ変性ポリシロキサン(信越化学工業株式会社製X−22−3701E)0.02質量部を用いて85℃で60分撹拌させた。得られた樹脂粉末の重量平均粒子径を400μmに調整して、吸水性樹脂粉末1を得た。
「細断ゲル(2)を通気型バンド乾燥機{200℃、風速5m/秒}で乾燥」を「細断ゲル(2)を通気型バンド乾燥機{150℃、風速5m/秒}で乾燥」に変更したこと以外、合成例1と同様にして、吸水性樹脂粉末2を得た。
「細断ゲル(2)を通気型バンド乾燥機{200℃、風速5m/秒}で乾燥」を「細断ゲル(2)を通気型バンド乾燥機{150℃、風速2m/秒}で乾燥」に変更したこと以外、合成例1と同様にして、吸水性樹脂粉末3を得た。
「重量平均粒子径を400μmに調整」を「重量平均粒子径を530μmに調整」に変更したこと以外、合成例3と同様にして、吸水性樹脂粉末4を得た。
「重量平均粒子径を400μmに調整」を「重量平均粒子径を320μmに調整」に変更したこと以外、合成例2と同様にして、吸水性樹脂粉末5を得た。
「重量平均粒子径を400μmに調整」を「重量平均粒子径を280μmに調整」に変更したこと以外、合成例1と同様にして、吸水性樹脂粉末6を得た。
「(B)表面改質剤としてシリカ(東新化成株式会社製アエロジル 380)0.5質量部、及び、カルボキシ変性ポリシロキサン(信越化学工業株式会社製X−22−3701E)0.02質量部」を「(B)表面改質剤としてシリカ(東新化成株式会社製アエロジル 380)0.5質量部」に変更したこと以外、合成例2と同様にして、吸水性樹脂粉末7を得た。
「(B)表面改質剤としてシリカ(東新化成株式会社製アエロジル 380)0.5質量部、及び、カルボキシ変性ポリシロキサン(信越化学工業株式会社製X−22−3701E)0.02質量部」を「(B)表面改質剤としてシリカ(東新化成株式会社製アエロジル 200)0.5質量部」に変更したこと以外、合成例2と同様にして、吸水性樹脂粉末8を得た。
「(B)表面改質剤としてシリカ(東新化成株式会社製アエロジル 380)0.5質量部、及び、カルボキシ変性ポリシロキサン(信越化学工業株式会社製X−22−3701E)0.02質量部」を「(B)表面改質剤としてカルボキシ変性ポリシロキサン(信越化学工業株式会社製X−22−3701E)0.02質量部」に変更したこと以外、合成例2と同様にして、吸水性樹脂粉末9を得た。
「(B)表面改質剤としてシリカ(東新化成株式会社製アエロジル 380)0.5質量部、及び、カルボキシ変性ポリシロキサン(信越化学工業株式会社製X−22−3701E)0.02質量部」を「(B)表面改質剤としてアミノ変性ポリシロキサン(信越化学工業株式会社製KF−880)0.02質量部」に変更したこと以外、合成例2と同様にして、吸水性樹脂粉末10を得た。
「細断ゲル(2)を通気型バンド乾燥機{200℃、風速5m/秒}で乾燥」を「細断ゲル(2)を通気型バンド乾燥機{120℃、風速2m/秒}で乾燥」に変更したこと以外、合成例1と同様にして、比較吸水性樹脂粉末1を得た。
「重量平均粒子径を400μmに調整」を「重量平均粒子径を600μmに調整」に変更したこと以外、合成例1と同様にして、比較吸水性樹脂粉末2を得た。
「重量平均粒子径を400μmに調整」を「重量平均粒子径を280μmに調整」に変更したこと以外、合成例2と同様にして、比較吸水性樹脂粉末3を得た。
100重量部の吸水性樹脂粉末7に対し、ポリエチレングリコール(三洋化成工業製PEG200)2部を加えて、85℃で60分撹拌させた。得られた樹脂粉末の重量平均粒子径を400μmに調整して、比較吸水性樹脂粉末4を得た。
〔吸収体1〕
第1不織布としてスパンボンド不職布(旭化成せんい(株)製 エルタスアクア)の上に合成ゴム系ホットメルト接着剤((株)モレスコ製 TN−202Z)を塗布した後、吸水性樹脂粉末1を筋状に散布し、スパンボンド不職布(旭化成せんい(株)製 エルタスアクア)を、上記樹脂粉末を散布した第1不織布に積層し、得られた積層体をプレスして、吸収体1を得た。
「吸水性樹脂粉末1」を「吸水性樹脂粉末2〜10」に変更したこと以外、吸収体1と同様にして吸収体2〜10を得た。
「吸水性樹脂粉末1」を「比較吸水性樹脂粉末1」に変更したこと以外、吸収体1と同様にして超薄型比較吸収体1を得た。
「比較吸水性樹脂粉末1」を「比較吸水性樹脂粉末2〜4」に変更したこと以外、比較吸収体1と同様にして。比較吸収体2〜4を得た。
Claims (7)
- (a1)水溶性エチレン性不飽和モノマーおよび/または加水分解により(a1)水溶性エチレン性モノマーを生成する(a2)加水分解性モノマーと、(b)内部架橋剤とを含有する単量体組成物を重合してなる(A)架橋重合体を、(B)表面改質剤で処理して得られたものであり、
前記(a1)水溶性エチレン性不飽和モノマーが、少なくとも1個の水溶性置換基とエチレン性不飽和基とを有するモノマーであって、前記水溶性置換基がカルボキシル基、スルホ基、スルホオキシ基、ホスホノ基、水酸基、カルバモイル基、アミノ基、または、これらの塩であり、
前記(b)内部架橋剤が、(b1)エチレン性不飽和基を2個以上有する内部架橋剤、(b2)(a1)水溶性エチレン性不飽和モノマーの水溶性置換基及び/又は(a2)加水分解性モノマーの加水分解によって生成する水溶性置換基と反応し得る官能基を少なくとも1個有し、且つ、少なくとも1個のエチレン性不飽和基を有する内部架橋剤、または、(b3)(a1)水溶性エチレン性不飽和モノマーの水溶性置換基及び/又は(a2)加水分解性モノマーの加水分解によって生成する水溶性置換基と反応し得る官能基を少なくとも2個以上有する内部架橋剤であり、
前記(B)表面改質剤が、アミノ変性ポリシロキサン、カルボキシ変性ポリシロキサン、および、シリカより成る群から選択される少なくとも一種であり、
前記(A)架橋重合体の重量平均粒子径が、100μm〜800μmであり、
前記(B)表面改質剤の処理量が、前記(A)架橋重合体100質量部に対して、0.001質量部〜1質量部であり、
下記(a)〜(e)の要件を満足することを特徴とする吸水性樹脂粉末。
(a)嵩密度:0.45g/ml〜0.62g/ml
(b)ボルテックス法による吸収速度:20秒〜50秒
(c)荷重下通液速度:10秒以下
(d)吸湿ブロッキング率:5%以下
(e)保水量:22g/g〜45g/g - 吸収倍率が、40g/g〜55g/gである請求項1に記載の吸水性樹脂粉末。
- 透液性の第1シートと、第2シートとを有し、前記第1シートと第2シートの間に、請求項1または2に記載の吸水性樹脂粉末が配置された吸収体であって、
前記吸水性樹脂粉末の質量比率が、吸収体の全質量に対して60質量%以上であることを特徴とする吸収体。 - 吸収体の厚みが5mm以下である請求項3に記載の吸収体。
- 第1シートと第2シートとを所定の間隔で貼り合わせることにより、吸水性樹脂粉末非存在領域と、吸水性樹脂粉末が内包された吸水性樹脂粉末存在領域とが形成されている請求項3または4に記載の吸収体。
- 第1シートと第2シートの間にさらに繊維状基材を含有する請求項3に記載の吸収体。
- 請求項3〜6のいずれか一項に記載の吸収体を備える吸収性物品。
