Description
白金担持カーボン触媒と、20質量%の高分子電解質溶液であるナフィオン(登録商標、Dupon社製)とを溶媒中で混合し、遊星型ボールミルで分散処理を行った。ボールミルのポット、ボールにはジルコニア製のものを用いた。
テフロン(登録商標)フィルムを下地基材Sとして用いた。
プレート上にテフロン(登録商標)フィルム基材Sを固定し、刃とテフロン(登録商標)フィルム基材Sとの隙間を125μmに設定したドクターブレードによりテフロン(登録商標)フィルム基材S上に上述した触媒インクを塗布し、70℃に設定したオーブン内で5分間乾燥させることで第1の電極触媒層2を作製した。第1の電極触媒層2の膜厚は、約8μmであった。
プレート上に第1の電極触媒層2が形成されたテフロン(登録商標)フィルム基材Sを固定し、刃とテフロン(登録商標)フィルム基材Sとの隙間を287μmに設定したドクターブレードによりテフロン(登録商標)フィルム基材S上に高分子電解質の溶液を塗布し、80℃に設定した真空オーブン内で60分間乾燥させることで高分子電解質膜1を作製した。高分子電解質膜1の膜厚は、約25μmであった。
プレート上に高分子電解質膜1と第1の電極触媒層2が形成されたテフロン(登録商標)フィルム基材Sを固定し、刃とテフロン(登録商標)フィルム基材Sの隙間を287μmに設定したドクターブレードにより上述した触媒インクを塗布し、60℃に設定したオーブン内で5分間乾燥させることで第2の電極触媒層3を作製した。
実施例と同様に作製した膜電極接合体11の第1の電極触媒層2をカソードに用いた。セル温度80℃水素流量200ml/min、酸素流量100ml/min、加湿条件はアノード及びカソードともに80℃(フル加湿)で測定した。測定結果を図3の実線に示す。
Claims (5)
- 高分子電解質膜の両面を一対の電極触媒層で狭持した膜電極接合体の製造方法であって、
基材上に、触媒担持粒子と高分子電解質と溶媒を含む第1の触媒インクを塗布し塗膜を形成し、形成した塗膜中の溶媒を除去し、第1の電極触媒層を形成し、
前記第1の電極触媒層上に、前記高分子電解質と前記溶媒を含み、粘度が100mPa・s以上200mPa・s以下の電解質インクを塗布し、塗膜を形成し、形成した前記塗膜中の前記溶媒を除去し、高分子電解質膜を形成し、
前記高分子電解質膜上に、前記触媒担持粒子と前記高分子電解質と前記溶媒を含む第2の触媒インクを塗布し塗膜を形成し、形成した前記塗膜中の前記溶媒を除去し、第2の電極触媒層を形成し、
前記基材はガス拡散層またはセパレータであることを特徴とする膜電極接合体の製造方法。 - 前記第1の触媒インクに含まれる前記高分子電解質と、前記電解質インクに含まれる前記高分子電解質と、前記第2の触媒インクに含まれる前記高分子電解質が同一の材料であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の膜電極接合体の製造方法。
- 前記第1の電極触媒層をアノード側に用い、前記第2の電極触媒層をカソード側に用いることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の膜電極接合体の製造方法。
- 請求項1乃至請求項3のいずれかに記載の膜電極接合体の製造方法により製造されたことを特徴とする膜電極接合体。
- 請求項4に記載の膜電極接合体が一対の前記ガス拡散層で狭持され、さらに、前記ガス拡散層は一対の前記セパレータで狭持されることを特徴とする固体高分子形燃料電池。
