Claims (4)
- 交流電源から電力を入力してモータを駆動するモータ駆動装置であって、
直並列に接続された複数のパワースイッチング素子をPWM制御することにより入力交流電圧を直流電圧に変換するPWMコンバータ動作モードと、該複数のパワースイッチング素子の各々に対してそれぞれ逆並列接続された複数のダイオードにより入力交流電圧を直流電圧に変換するダイオード整流動作モードと、を変換動作モードとして有するAC/DCコンバータと、
モータが力行運転状態にあるときに、負荷に応じて該AC/DCコンバータの該変換動作モードを動的に切替えるコンバータ制御部と、
を具備するモータ駆動装置。 - 該負荷を検出する負荷検出部を更に具備し、該コンバータ制御部は、該負荷検出部によって検出された負荷が所定のレベル以下の場合に該AC/DCコンバータを該PWMコンバータ動作モードで動作させ、該負荷が所定のレベルを超えた場合に該AC/DCコンバータを該ダイオード整流動作モードで動作させる、請求項1に記載のモータ駆動装置。
- 該負荷検出部は、該パワースイッチング素子の温度又は該パワースイッチング素子が取付けられた放熱器の温度を該負荷として検出する、請求項2に記載のモータ駆動装置。
- 該負荷検出部は、該パワースイッチング素子を流れる電流を検出し、該電流を積算した値を該負荷として検出する、請求項2に記載のモータ駆動装置。
