Claims (6)
- 横電界駆動方式で駆動される少なくとも一部に反射領域を有する液晶表示装置において、断面が凹凸形状に形成された反射板と、前記反射板上に絶縁膜を介して設けられた液晶を駆動するための複数の電極とを備え、前記電極下に対応する領域における、前記反射板の傾斜角の絶対値の平均が、隣接する2つの電極間に対応する領域における、前記反射板の傾斜角の絶対値の平均より低く、前記反射板に対する光の入射角度を30°としたとき、前記隣接する2つの電極間に対応する領域における前記反射板の傾斜角の成分のうち、4.7°〜9.1°の範囲内の成分が0°〜2.9°の成分よりも多く、前記電極下に対応する領域における前記反射板の傾斜角の成分のうち、0°〜2.9°の範囲内の成分が4.7°〜9.1°の成分よりも多い、ことを特徴とする液晶表示装置。
- 前記隣接する2つの電極間に対応する領域における前記反射板の傾斜角が、当該領域における前記反射板の反射光が観察者に向けて出射される角度に設定され、前記電極下に対応する領域における前記反射板の傾斜角が、当該領域における前記反射板の反射光が正反射方向に向けて出射される角度に設定されている、請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 横電界駆動方式で駆動され、少なくとも一部に反射領域を有し、断面が凹凸形状に形成された反射板と、前記反射板上に絶縁膜を介して設けた液晶を駆動するための複数の電極とを備えた、請求項1または2に記載の液晶表示装置における前記反射板の凹凸形状を形成するフォトマスクであって、前記電極下に対応する領域の凹凸パターンが除去されていることを特徴とするフォトマスク。
- 横電界駆動方式で駆動され、少なくとも一部に反射領域を有し、断面が凹凸形状に形成された反射板と、前記反射板上に絶縁膜を介して設けた液晶を駆動するための複数の電極とを備えた、請求項1または2に記載の液晶表示装置における前記反射板の凹凸形状を形成するフォトマスクであって、前記電極下に対応する領域に遮光パターンが追加されていることを特徴とするフォトマスク。
- 横電界駆動方式で駆動され、少なくとも一部に反射領域を有し、断面が凹凸形状に形成された反射板と、前記反射板上に絶縁膜を介して設けた液晶を駆動するための複数の電極とを備えた、請求項1または2に記載の液晶表示装置における前記反射板の凹凸形状を形成するフォトマスクであって、前記電極下に対応する領域にグレートーン又はハーフトーンが配置されていることを特徴とするフォトマスク。
- 少なくとも一部に反射領域を有し、横電界駆動方式で駆動される、請求項1または2に記載の液晶表示装置の製造方法であって、基板上に感光性樹脂を塗布する工程と、請求項3乃至5の何れか一項に記載のフォトマスクを用いて感光性樹脂を露光する工程と、現像により感光した感光性樹脂を除去する工程と、現像後の感光性樹脂を焼成し凹凸OC膜を形成する工程と、前記凹凸OC膜上に反射板を形成する工程とを有することを特徴とする液晶表示装置の製造方法。
