図1は、本発明の第1の実施の形態に係る電池の断面構成を表している。この電池は、負極の容量が電極反応物質であるリチウムの吸蔵および放出に基づいて表されるリチウムイオン二次電池である。
第2の実施の形態に係る電池は、負極22の構成が異なる点を除き、第1の実施の形態の電池と同様の構成、作用および効果を有していると共に同様の手順により製造される。
第3の実施の形態に係る電池は、負極22の容量がリチウムの析出および溶解に基づいて表されるリチウム金属二次電池である。この二次電池は、負極活物質層22Bがリチウム金属により構成されている点を除き、第1の実施の形態の電池と同様の構成を有していると共に同様の手順により製造される。
図3は、第4の実施の形態に係る電池の分解斜視構成を表している。この電池は、正極リード31および負極リード32が取り付けられた巻回電極体30をフィルム状の外装部材40の内部に収容したものであり、このフィルム状の外装部材40を用いた電池構造は、いわゆるラミネート型と呼ばれている。
負極活物質としてケイ素を用いて、図3および図4に示したラミネートフィルム型の二次電池を作製した。この際、負極34の容量がリチウムの吸蔵および放出に基づいて表されるリチウムイオン二次電池となるようにした。
o−TPの含有量を0.5重量%(実施例1−2)、1重量%(実施例1−3)、あるいは3重量%(実施例1−4)に変更したことを除き、実施例1−1と同様の手順を経た。
芳香族化合物としてo−TPに代えてm−ターフェニル(m−TP)を用いたことを除き、実施例1−1〜1−4と同様の手順を経た。
芳香族化合物としてo−TPに代えてp−ターフェニル(p−TP)を用い、その含有量を一部変更したことを除き、実施例1−1と同様の手順を経た。このp−ターフェニルの含有量としては、実施例1−9,1−14ではそれぞれ0.05重量%および4重量%とし、実施例1−10〜1−13では実施例1−1〜1−4と同様にした。
正極活物質層33Bにo−TPを含有させず、電解液にFECを含有させなかったことを除き、実施例1−1と同様の手順を経た。この際、溶媒の組成(EC:DEC)を重量比で50:50とした。

電解液にFECを含有させなかったことを除き、実施例1−3,1−7,1−12と同様の手順を経た。この際、溶媒の組成(EC:DEC)を重量比で50:50とした。
p−TPを正極活物質層に含有させる代わりに電解液に含有させたことを除き、比較例1−2と同様の手順を経た。この際、電解液中におけるp−TPの含有量を3重量%とした。
芳香族化合物としてp−TPに代えてクォーターフェニル(QP)を用いたことを除き、実施例1−9〜1−14と同様の手順を経た。
ハロゲンを有する炭酸エステルとしてFECに代えて4,5−ジフルオロ−1,3−ジオキソラン−2−オン(DFEC)を用い、溶媒の組成を変更したことを除き、実施例2−2〜2−5と同様の手順を経た。この際、溶媒の組成(EC:DEC:DFEC)を重量比で30:50:20とした。
ハロゲンを有する炭酸エステル(FEC)に代えて不飽和結合を有する炭酸エステルである炭酸ビニレン(VC)を用い、溶媒の組成を変更したことを除き、実施例2−2〜2−5と同様の手順を経た。この際、溶媒の組成(EC:DEC:VC)を重量比で30:67:3とした。
VCを加え、溶媒の組成を変更したことを除き、実施例2−4と同様の手順を経た。この際、溶媒の組成(EC:DEC:FEC:VC)を重量比で20:50:27:3とした。
正極活物質層33BにQPを含有させなかったことを除き、実施例2−7〜2−10あるいは実施例2−11〜2−14と同様の手順を経た。
溶媒にDFECを含有させなかったことを除き、実施例2−2〜2−5と同様の手順を経た。この際、溶媒の組成(EC:DEC)を重量比で50:50とした。
焼結法により負極活物質層34Bを形成し、溶媒の組成を変更したことを除き、実施例2−2〜2−5と同様の手順を経た。この負極活物質層34Bを形成する場合には、負極活物質としてケイ素粉末80質量部と、結着剤としてポリイミド20質量部とを混合して負極合剤とし、N−メチル−2−ピロリドンに分散させて負極合剤スラリーとしたのち、負極集電体34Aの両面に塗布して乾燥および圧縮成型した。こののち、真空雰囲気下において、400℃で12時間に渡って加熱した。この際、溶媒の組成(EC:DEC:FEC)を重量比で10:50:40とした。
実施例3−1〜3−4と同様に焼結法により負極活物質層34Bを形成したことを除き、実施例2−12と同様の手順を経た。
正極活物質層33BにQPを含有させなかったことを除き、実施例3−1〜3−4あるいは実施例3−5と同様の手順を経た。
電解液にFECを含有させなかったことを除き、実施例3−1〜3−4と同様の手順を経た。この際、溶媒の組成(EC:DEC)を重量比で40:60とした。
負極活物質としてケイ素に代えて人造黒鉛を用い、図1および図2に示した円筒型の二次電池を作製した。この二次電池を作製する場合には、まず、実施例1−1〜1−14と同様の手順にしたがって、正極活物質層21Bが芳香族化合物(o−TP、m−tPあるいはp−TP)を含むように正極21を作製したのち、負極22を作製した。この負極22を作製する場合には、負極活物質として黒鉛粉末90質量部と、結着剤としてポリフッ化ビニリデン10質量部とを混合しが負極合剤をN−メチル−2−ピロリドンに分散させてペースト状の負極合剤スラリーとしたのち、帯状の銅箔(15μm厚)からなる負極集電体22Aの両面に負極合剤スラリーを均一に塗布して乾燥および圧縮成型することにより、負極活物質層22Bを形成した。こののち、負極集電体22Aの一端に負極リード26を取り付けた。
正極活物質層21Bにo−TPを含有させず、電解液にFECを含有させなかったことを除き、実施例4−1と同様の手順を経た。この際、溶媒の組成(EC:PC:DMC)を重量比で25:5:70とした。
正極活物質層21Bにo−TPを含有させなかったことを除き、実施例4−1と同様の手順を経た。
電解液にFECを含有させなかったことを除き、実施例4−3,4−7,4−12と同様の手順を経た。この際、溶媒の組成(EC:PC:DMC)を重量比で25:5:70とした。
p−TPを正極活物質層に含有させる代わりに電解液に含有させたことを除き、比較例4−2と同様の手順を経た。この際、電解液中におけるp−TPの含有量を3重量%とした。
芳香族化合物としてo−TPに代えてQPを用い、溶媒の組成を変更したことを除き、実施例4−1〜4−4と同様の手順を経た。この際、溶媒の組成(EC:PC:DMC:FEC)を重量比で24:5:70:1とした。
芳香族化合物としてp−TPに代えてQPを用いたことを除き、実施例4−9〜4−14と同様の手順を経た。
溶媒の組成を変更したことを除き、実施例5−1〜5−4と同様の手順を経た。この際、溶媒の組成(EC:PC:DMC:FEC)を重量比で15:5:70:10とした。
溶媒の組成を変更したことを除き、実施例5−1〜5−4と同様の手順を経た。この際、溶媒の組成(EC:PC:DMC:FEC)を重量比で5:5:70:20とした。
溶媒にFECを含有させなかったことを除き、実施例5−1〜5−4と同様の手順を経た。この際、溶媒の組成(EC:PC:DMC)を重量比で25:5:70とした。
ハロゲンを有する炭酸エステルとしてFECに代えてDFECを用いたことを除き、実施例5−6〜5−9と同様の手順を経た。
ハロゲンを有する炭酸エステル(FEC)に代えて不飽和結合を有する炭酸エステルであるVCを用い、溶媒の組成を変更したことを除き、実施例5−5〜5−9と同様の手順を経た。この際、溶媒の組成(EC:PC:DMC:VC)を重量比で23:5:70:2とした。
VCを加え、溶媒の組成を変更したことを除き、実施例5−8と同様の手順を経た。この際、溶媒の組成(EC:PC:DMC:FEC:VC)を重量比で20:5:67:5:3とした。
正極活物質層21BにQPを含有させなかったことを除き、実施例6−1〜6−4あるいは実施例6−5〜6−8と同様の手順を経た。
Claims (4)
- 正極集電体に正極活物質層が設けられた正極と、負極集電体に負極活物質層が設けられた負極と、電解液とを備え、
前記正極活物質層は、正極活物質と、4以上10以下のベンゼン環を有する芳香族化合物とを含み、
前記負極活物質層は、負極活物質としてケイ素の単体を含み、
前記電解液は、溶媒と、電解質塩と、フッ素を有する炭酸エステルおよび不飽和結合を有する炭酸エステルのうちの少なくとも1種とを含み、
前記正極活物質層中における前記芳香族化合物の含有量は、0.1重量%以上3重量%以下である、
リチウムイオン二次電池。 - 前記フッ素を有する炭酸エステルは、4−フルオロ−1,3−ジオキソラン−2−オンおよび4,5−ジフルオロ−1,3−ジオキソラン−2−オンのうちの少なくとも1種である、請求項1記載のリチウムイオン二次電池。
- 前記不飽和結合を有する炭酸エステルは、炭酸ビニレンである、請求項1記載のリチウムイオン二次電池。
- 前記芳香族化合物は、クォーターフェニルである、請求項1記載のリチウムイオン二次電池。
