Description
本発明の第1実施形態について説明する。図1は本発明の第1実施形態に係る排気浄化装置を適用した内燃機関の全体構成を示す図である。
第1実施形態では、図5のステップS101において、前端部PM堆積量が前端詰まり判定閾値以上になったときに前端部に目詰まりが発生していると判定したが、本実施形態はその判定方法を変更したものである。
第2実施形態では、非再生時の第1推定PM値と第2推定PM値に基づいて、前端部に目詰まりが発生しているか否かを判定したが、本実施形態は、通常再生時の第1推定PM値と第2推定PM値に基づいて、前端部に目詰まりが発生しているか否かを判定するようにしたものである。
上記実施形態では、還元剤(HC)と熱反応する酸化触媒やNOx触媒が捕集器40の上流に配置されていない形式の内燃機関1に本発明を適用したが、還元剤(HC)と熱反応する酸化触媒やNOx触媒が捕集器40の上流に配置されている形式の内燃機関1にも本発明は適用することができる。
Claims (7)
- 内燃機関(1)から排出される排出ガス中のパティキュレートを捕集する捕集器(40)と、
前記捕集器に堆積したパティキュレートを燃焼させて前記捕集器の再生を行う再生手段(11、12、13、22、50、51、52、53、54、70)とを備える内燃機関の排気浄化装置において、
パティキュレートの堆積により前記捕集器の前端部に目詰まりが発生しているか否かを判定する目詰まり判定手段(S101)と、
前記判定手段により前記前端部に目詰まりが発生していると判定されたときに、前記前端部に堆積したパティキュレートを除去するための作動を前記再生手段に実行させる目詰まり解消手段(S102)とを備え、
前記目詰まり判定手段は、前記前端部に堆積してゆくパティキュレートの増加速度、および前記前端部に堆積したパティキュレートの燃焼速度に基づいて、前記前端部のパティキュレート堆積量を算出し、前記前端部のパティキュレート堆積量が第1所定値以上になったときに、前記前端部に目詰まりが発生していると判定することを特徴とする内燃機関の排気浄化装置。 - 前記目詰まり判定手段は、前記内燃機関の運転状態、前記捕集器の前後差圧の変化状況のうち少なくとも一つを用いて、前記前端部に堆積してゆくパティキュレートの増加速度を算出することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
- 前記目詰まり判定手段は、前記捕集器に流入する排出ガスの温度、および前記捕集器の前後差圧の変化状況のうち少なくとも一方を用いて、前記前端部に堆積したパティキュレートの燃焼速度を算出することを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
- 内燃機関(1)から排出される排出ガス中のパティキュレートを捕集する捕集器(40)と、
前記捕集器に堆積したパティキュレートを燃焼させて前記捕集器の再生を行う再生手段とを備え、
前記再生手段は、前記内燃機関のシリンダに燃料を噴射する燃料噴射装置(11、12)であり、前記捕集器のパティキュレート堆積量が第2所定値を超えたときに、前記再生手段により前記内燃機関のシリンダにポスト噴射を行わせて通常再生を行う内燃機関の排気浄化装置であって、
パティキュレートの堆積により前記捕集器の前端部に目詰まりが発生しているか否かを判定する目詰まり判定手段(S101)と、
前記判定手段により前記前端部に目詰まりが発生していると判定されたときに、前記前端部に堆積したパティキュレートを除去するための作動を前記再生手段に実行させる目詰まり解消手段(S102)とを備え、
前記目詰まり解消手段は、前記前端部に目詰まりが発生していると判定されたときに、前記再生手段により前記内燃機関のシリンダにポスト噴射を行わせるとともに、前記通常再生時よりもポスト噴射の回数を増加させることを特徴とする内燃機関の排気浄化装置。 - 前記再生手段は、排出ガスを吸気系に還流する排気再循環装置(50、51、52、53、54)であり、前記排気再循環装置は、吸気系に還流される排出ガスを冷却するEGRクーラ(52)を備え、
前記目詰まり解消手段は、前記前端部に目詰まりが発生していると判定されたときに、前記EGRクーラをバイパスして排出ガスを吸気系に還流させることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。 - 内燃機関(1)から排出される排出ガス中のパティキュレートを捕集する捕集器(40)と、
前記捕集器に堆積したパティキュレートを燃焼させて前記捕集器の再生を行う再生手段とを備え、
前記捕集器のパティキュレート堆積量が第2所定値を超えたときに前記再生手段を作動させて通常再生を行う内燃機関の排気浄化装置であって、
パティキュレートの堆積により前記捕集器の前端部に目詰まりが発生しているか否かを判定する目詰まり判定手段(S101)と、
前記判定手段により前記前端部に目詰まりが発生していると判定されたときに、前記前端部に堆積したパティキュレートを除去するための作動を前記再生手段に実行させる目詰まり解消手段(S102)とを備え、
前記再生手段として、吸気系の通路を開閉する吸気スロットル(22)、前記内燃機関に供給される空気を加圧する過給器(13)、および排出ガスを吸気系に還流するEGR通路(50)を開閉するEGRバルブ(51)のうち少なくとも一つを備え、
前記目詰まり解消手段は、前記前端部に目詰まりが発生していると判定されたときに、前記吸気スロットルを前記通常再生時よりも閉側にする制御、前記過給器の過給圧を前記通常再生時よりも低くする制御、および前記EGRバルブを前記通常再生時よりも閉側にする制御のうち少なくとも一つを行うことを特徴とする内燃機関の排気浄化装置。 - 前記再生手段として、前記内燃機関のアイドリング時の回転数を設定回転数に制御する回転数制御装置(11、12、70)、および前記内燃機関に駆動されて発電を行う発電機のうち少なくとも一方を備え、
前記目詰まり解消手段は、前記前端部に目詰まりが発生していると判定されたときに、前記回転数制御装置における前記設定回転数を前記捕集器の非再生時よりも高く設定する制御、および前記発電機の発電量を増加させる制御のうち少なくとも一つを行うことを特徴とする請求項4ないし6のいずれか1つに記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
