Description
図1は、本発明の実施の形態1による面状光源装置の概略構成の一例を示した分解斜視図である。本実施の形態による面状光源装置1は、線状に配置された複数の点光源からの光を前面から出射する導光板4を備えたサイドライト方式の面状光源装置であり、液晶パネルなどの表示パネルをその表示領域全体にわたって均一な光で照明するのに好適なものとなっている。ここでいう表示パネルは、各種情報を表示するための表示素子のことであり、液晶パネル以外に看板などの表示板も含むものとする。
実施の形態1では、導光板4の入射面4aが背面側に傾斜させて設けられる場合の例について説明した。これに対し、本実施の形態では、入射面が背面側における傾斜角を前面側における傾斜角よりも大きくして設けられる場合について説明する。
実施の形態2では、導光板11の入射面が傾斜角θの異なる複数の平面からなる場合の例について説明した。これに対し、本実施の形態では、入射面が曲面からなる場合について説明する。
実施の形態1では、導光板の一端面に光源ユニットが配置される場合の例について説明した。これに対し、本実施の形態では、導光板に形成された複数の光源収容孔に各LED6がそれぞれ配置される面状光源装置に本発明を適用する場合について説明する。
実施の形態4では、導光板31の一端面に沿って各光源収容孔32が形成される場合の例について説明した。これに対し、本実施の形態では、導光板の対向する端面に光源収容孔が形成される面状光源装置に本発明を適用する場合について説明する。

Claims (4)
- 線状に配置される2以上の点光源と、
上記各点光源からの光が入射される入射面を有し、入射光を前面から出射する導光板と、
上記導光板の背面上に設けられ、光を拡散させる光拡散手段とを備え、
上記導光板の入射面は、前記背面側に傾斜させて設けられ、傾斜角が異なる2以上の平面からなり、背面側における傾斜角が前面側における傾斜角よりも大きくなっていることを特徴とする面状光源装置。 - 線状に配置される2以上の点光源と、
上記各点光源からの光が入射される入射面を有し、入射光を前面から出射する導光板と、
上記導光板の背面上に設けられ、光を拡散させる光拡散手段とを備え、
上記導光板の入射面は、傾斜角が異なる2以上の平面からなり、前面側の入射面は垂直であり、背面側における傾斜角は、前記背面側に傾斜させて設けられていること特徴とする面状光源装置。 - 線状に配置される2以上の点光源と、
上記各点光源からの光が入射される入射面を有し、入射光を前面から出射する導光板と、
上記導光板の背面上に設けられ、光を拡散させる光拡散手段とを備え、
上記導光板の入射面は、前記背面側に傾斜させて設けられ、傾斜角が連続的に変化する曲面からなり、導光板の前面から遠ざかるに従って傾斜角が大きくなっていることを特徴とする面状光源装置。 - 上記導光板には、上記各点光源がそれぞれ挿入される2以上の光源収容孔が形成され、上記各光源収容孔の壁面がそれぞれ上記導光板の入射面となっていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の面状光源装置。
