Abstract
【解決手段】データ生成装置は、AVC(Advanced Video Coding)規格と、第2範囲の光の強度が入力される第2OETF(opto−electrical transfer function)とに従い映像データを生成する生成回路と、第1OETFを示す第1の値を含むVUI(video usability information)と、第2OETFを示す第2の値を含むSEI(supplemental enhancement information)とを格納する格納部とを備え、第1OETFは、光の強度の第1範囲に対応し、第2範囲は第1範囲より広く、第1の値は、第2OETFに対応していない復号装置に参照され、第2OETFは、平方根関数と対数関数との組み合わせである。

Description
従来の映像における暗部階調を維持しつつ、現行のTV信号では表現不能な鏡面反射光などの明るい光を、より現実に近い明るさで表現するために最大輝度値を拡大した輝度範囲に対応させた方式として、HDR(High Dynamic Range)が注目されている。具体的には、これまでのTV信号が対応している輝度範囲の方式は、SDR(Standard Dynamic Range)と呼ばれ、最大輝度値が100nitであったのに対して、HDRでは1000nit以上まで最大輝度値を拡大することが想定されている。

Claims (5)
- AVC(Advanced Video Coding)規格と、第2範囲の光の強度が入力される第2OETF(opto−electrical transfer function)とに従い映像データを生成する生成回路と、
第1OETFを示す第1の値を含むVUI(video usability information)と、前記第2OETFを示す第2の値を含むSEI(supplemental enhancement information)とを格納する格納部とを備え、
前記第1OETFは、光の強度の第1範囲に対応し、前記第2範囲は前記第1範囲より広く、
前記第1の値は、前記第2OETFに対応していない復号装置に参照され、
前記第2OETFは、平方根関数と対数関数との組み合わせである
データ生成装置。 - 前記第1範囲及び前記第2範囲は、それぞれ第1輝度範囲及び第2輝度範囲に対応し、
前記第2輝度範囲は前記第1輝度範囲より広い
