Abstract
【解決手段】化学式(1)で表されるシリコーン−アゾマクロ開始剤及びメチルメタクリレートを共重合したアクリル−シリコーンブロック共重合体を含むコアとして、シェルにC12〜18のアルキルメタクリレートを共単量体として使って製造されたコア−シェル構造のアクリル系加工助剤及びこれを含む塩化ビニル系樹脂組成物。前記アクリル系加工助剤は、塩化ビニル系樹脂のシート成形に適用することで、透明性、耐粘着性及び熱安定性が優れると同時に、未分散溶融体(fish−eye)の発生がなく、エアマーク(air mark)及びフローマーク(flow mark)の発生を顕著に減少させて高品質の塩化ビニル系樹脂成形品の製作を可能にする。

塩化ビニル系樹脂の成形工程時に透明度を阻害せずに耐粘着性を高めることができるし、特にカレンダー成形工程以後、表面品質不良(エアマーク、フローマーク、フィッシュアイ)を抑制することができるアクリル系加工助剤を提示する。
前記化学式1のシリコーン−アゾマクロ開始剤は、アゾ基(−CN=NC−)は加熱または光照射によって容易に分解してラジカルを発生する重合開始剤の役割をする。前記アゾ基のラジカルは、メチルメタクリレートに含まれたビニル基と反応して化学式2のジメチルシリコーン基(Si(CH3)2−O)及びジメチルシラン基(Si(CH3)2−CH2)が反復的に含まれるアクリル−シリコーンブロック共重合体を形成する。この時、アクリル−シリコーンブロック共重合体は、シリコーン基の長い分子鎖を含むことでシリコーン自体のスリップ性によって、成形品の表面で発生するフローマーク及びエアマークなどの表面不良問題を解消し、粘着性を下げるだけでなく熱安定性を高める役割をする。
この時、比粘度が高いということは流出時間が長くなって高分子の分子量が高いことを意味し、これと逆に比粘度が低いということは流出時間が短くなって高分子の分子量が低いことを意味する。
前述の単量体加工重合された加工助剤の製造は、本発明で特に限定することなく、2段階にわたる重合によって製造することができる。
前記コアにメチルメタクリレート、C12ないしC18のアルキルメタクリレート単量体、及び芳香族ビニル単量体を混合した後、重合してシェルを製造する段階を含んでコア−シェル構造のアクリル系加工助剤を製造する。
本発明によるアクリル系加工助剤は、粉末状態で得て塩化ビニル系樹脂の成形加工時に使われることができる。
(1段階:アクリル−シリコーンブロック共重合体コアの製造)
先ず、攪拌機と温度計、窒素投入口、循環コンデンサを装着した4口フラスコの反応器を用意してイオン水(deionized water;DDI water)80重量部、硫酸第一鉄(Ferrous sulfate)0.001重量部、エチレンジアミン四酢酸二ナトリウム(Disodium ethylenediaminetetraacetate)0.02重量部を投入して窒素雰囲気下で前記反応器の内部温度を70℃で維持させた。
シェルを重合するために反応器の温度を70℃で維持させる。反応させる前に予めイオン交換水30重量部、DBS020重量部、MMA15重量部、ステアリルメタクリレート(stearylmethacrylate;SMA)10重量部、スチレン(styrene;SM)5重量部、分子量調節剤(Tert−Dodecylmercaptane;TDDM)0.01重量部を投入して単量体プレエマルジョンを製造した。
重合度が800である塩化ビニル樹脂(LS080、(株)LG化学)100重量部、複合安定剤とし
てOT700R(ソンウォン産業製造)1.5重量部、内部滑剤としてG−16(Loxiol社)0.8重量部、外部滑剤としてG70(Loxiol社)0.5重量部、及び着色剤としてBMP25(風景浄化製造)0.3重量部をヘンシェルミキサから100℃まで混合した後、ここに前記製造した加工助剤2重量部を加えて塩化ビニル系樹脂を製造した。
1段階のコア製造時にシリコーン−アゾマクロ開始剤を8重量部で使用し、2段階の製造時にMMA20重量部、セチルメタクリレートを10重量部使用したことを除いて、前記実施例1と同様に行うことでアクリル系加工助剤及び塩化ビニル系樹脂を製造した。
1、2段階の製造時に重合温度を75℃で実施したことを除いて、前記実施例1と同様に行うことでアクリル系加工助剤及び塩化ビニル系樹脂を製造した。
1段階のコア製造時にMMA 60重量部、BA 5重量部、シリコーン−アゾマクロ開始剤5重量部で使用してコアを製造したことを除いて、前記実施例1と同様に行うことでアクリル系加工助剤及び塩化ビニル系樹脂を製造した。
1、2段階の製造時に63℃で重合を行ったことを除いて、前記実施例1と同様に行うことでアクリル系加工助剤及び塩化ビニル系樹脂を製造した。
1段階のコア製造時にシリコーン−アゾマクロ開始剤を使用していないことを除いて、前記実施例1と同様に行うことでアクリル系加工助剤及び塩化ビニル系樹脂を製造した。
1段階のコア製造時にMMA 50重量部とシリコーン−アゾマクロ開始剤20重量部を使用したことを除いて、前記実施例1と同様に行うことでアクリル系加工助剤及び塩化ビニル系樹脂を製造した。
1段階のコア製造時にTDDMを0.15重量部にして、85℃で重合を行ったことを除いて、前記実施例1と同様に行うことでアクリル系加工助剤及び塩化ビニル系樹脂を製造した。
1段階のコア製造時にTDDMを使用せずに、55℃で重合を行ったことを除いて、前記実施例1と同様に行うことでアクリル系加工助剤及び塩化ビニル系樹脂を製造した。
2段階のシェル製造時にMMA25重量部、SM5重量部使用したことを除いて、前記実施例1と同様に行うことでアクリル系加工助剤及び塩化ビニル系樹脂を製造した。
前記実施例及び比較例で製造したアクリル系加工助剤及び塩化ビニル系樹脂の物性を下記に基づいて測定し、得られた結果を表1に示す。
アクリル系加工助剤0.5gをTHF(テトラヒドロフラン)溶媒10mlに溶かしてUbbelohde粘度計を使って下記数式2に基づいて比粘度(specific viscosity)を測定した。
粘着性を評価するためにポリ塩化ビニル(重合度=800、LG化学製LS080)100重量部、TIn系安定剤3.0g、カルシウムステアレートCa−St0.9gを常温で混練機(Henshel Mixer)に投入した後、1,000rpmで115℃まで昇温させながら混練(Mixing)させ、40℃まで冷却させることでマスターバッチ(Master Batch)を完成した。試料3gを添加した後、常温でまた混練した後、6インチの2−ロ−ルミルを使って粉体混合物100gをロ−ル混練温度200℃、ロール回転数14×15rpm、ロール間隔0.3mm条件下で、4分間加工(Milling)した後、ロール表面での粘着性を評価した。
5:剥離されて伸びが全然ない。
前記製造したマスターバッチに測定試料をそれぞれ20重量部ずつ添加した後、常温でまた混練し、6インチの2−ロ−ルミルを使って粉体混合物100重量部をロール混練温度200℃、ロール回転数14×15rpm、ロール間隔0.3mmの条件下、10分間加工(Milling)してシートサンプルに対する熱安定性を評価した。
△YI:ASTM E313−1996規定に基づいて分光光度計(CM−3600d、KONICA−MINOLTA社)を利用してYI(Yellowness Index)を測定した。△YIは初期に比べて1000hr経過した後のYI値の変化量を意味する。
前記製造したマスターバッチに測定試料をそれぞれ2重量部ずつ添加した後、常温でまた混練し、6インチの2−ロール小麦を使って粉体混合物100重量部をロール混練温度195℃、ロール回転数14×15rpm、ロール間隔0.3mmの条件下、5分間加工(Milling)し、各シートサンプルに対して透過度と煙霧(haze)を測定した。
前記製造したマスターバッチに測定試料をそれぞれ2重量部ずつ添加した後、常温でまた混練し、6インチの2−ロ−ルミルを使って粉体混合物100重量部をロール混練温度185℃、ロール回転数14×15rpm、ロール間隔0.3mmの条件下で、3分間加工(Milling)した後、シートサンプルを以下の基準に基づいて評価した。
5:エアマークが全然ない。
2:エアマークが観察されて実際の使用上問題となる。
前記製造したマスターバッチに測定試料をそれぞれ2重量部ずつ添加した後、常温でまた混練し、6インチの2−ロ−ルミルを使って粉体混合物100重量部をロール混練温度200℃、ロール回転数14×15rpm、ロール間隔0.3mmの条件下で、3分間加工(Milling)した後、シートサンプルを以下の基準に基づいて評価した。
5:フローマークが全然ない。
2:フローマークが観察されて実際の使用上問題となる。
塩化ビニル系樹脂組成物の製造時にフィラーを添加せずに、塩化ビニル系樹脂組成物を製造した後、ティー−ダイ(T−die)を装着した20mmシングルスクリュー圧出機を利用して180℃のシ
リンダー温度と、30rpmのスクリュー速度で0.2mm厚さのフィルムに取り出した後、フィルム表
面の決まった領域中に存在するフィッシュアイの数を目で観察して下記基準に基づいて評価した。
5点:フィッシュアイがほとんどいない場合
3点:フィッシュアイが若干生成されている場合
1点:フィッシュアイがたくさん生成される場合
Claims (13)
- 前記シリコーン−アゾマクロ開始剤は、重量平均分子量が4,000ないし80,000g/molであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のアクリル系加工助剤。
- 前記コアは、コア単量体の総100重量%に対してメチルメタクリレート50ないし90重量%、及びシリコーン−アゾマクロ開始剤0.01ないし20重量%を含んで共重合されたことを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載のアクリル系加工助剤。
- さらに、前記コアは、コア単量体の総100重量%に対してC2ないしC18のアルキルアクリレート単量体0ないし30重量%をもっと含んで共重合されたことを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載のアクリル系加工助剤。
- 前記C2ないしC18のアルキルアクリレート単量体は、メチルアクリレート、エチルアクリレート、プロピルアクリレート、ブチルアクリレート、及び2−エチルヘキシルアクリレート及びステアリルアクリレートからなる群から選択された1種以上のことを特徴とする請求項4に記載のアクリル系加工助剤。
- 前記シェルは、シェル単量体の総100重量%に対してメチルメタクリレート50ないし80重量%、及びC12ないしC18のアルキルメタクリレート単量体20ないし50重量%が共重合されたことを特徴とする請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載のアクリル系加工助剤。
- 前記C12ないしC18のアルキルメタクリレート単量体は、ラウリルメタクリレート、セチルメタクリレート、ステアリルメタクリレート、イソステアリルメタクリレート及びトリデシルメタクリレートからなる群から選択された1種以上であることを特徴とする請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載のアクリル系加工助剤。
- さらに、前記シェルはシェル単量体の総100重量%に芳香族ビニル単量体0ないし30重量%をもっと含んで共重合されたことを特徴とする請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載のアクリル系加工助剤。
- 前記芳香族ビニル単量体は、スチレン、α−メチルスチレン、o−エチルスチレン、p−エチルスチレン及びビニルトルエンからなる群から選択された1種以上であることを特徴とする請求項8に記載のアクリル系加工助剤。
- 前記アクリル−シリコーンブロック共重合体は、比粘度が0.3ないし2.0であることを特徴とする請求項1〜9のいずれか一項に記載のアクリル系加工助剤。
- 前記アクリル系加工助剤は、比粘度が0.3ないし2.0であることを特徴とする請求項1〜10のいずれか一項に記載のアクリル系加工助剤。
- 前記アクリル加工助剤は、コア50ないし80重量%;及びシェル20ないし50重量%を含むことを特徴とする請求項1〜11のいずれか一項に記載のアクリル系加工助剤。
- 請求項1ないし請求項12のいずれか一項によるアクリル系加工助剤を含むことを特徴とする塩化ビニル系樹脂組成物。
