Abstract
Description
a.ガラス、セラミック、およびガラスセラミックの少なくとも1つを含むシートであって、第1の表面、第2の表面、および第1の表面と第2の表面とを連結する少なくとも2つの平行な高強度エッジを有し、少なくとも2つの平行な高強度エッジのそれぞれが、50mmの試験長さにわたって200MPaの応力レベルにおいて約2%未満の破壊確率が可能となる曲げ強度を有するシートと;
b.少なくとも2つの平行な高強度エッジのそれぞれの少なくとも一部を覆うポリマーエッジコーティングであって、高強度エッジのそれぞれを欠陥および損傷の発生から保護するポリマーエッジコーティングと
を含む、基材が提供される。
a.ガラス、セラミック、およびガラスセラミックの少なくとも1つを含むシートであって、少なくとも2つの平行な高強度エッジを有し、エッジの仕上げが行われていないシートと;
b.少なくとも2つの平行な高強度エッジのそれぞれの少なくとも一部を覆うポリマーエッジコーティングであって、少なくとも2つの平行な高強度エッジにおける欠陥の形成を最小限にすることによってシートの曲げ強度を保全するポリマーエッジコーティングと
を含む基材が提供される。
a.ガラス、ガラスセラミック、およびセラミックの少なくとも1つを含み、互いに実質的に平行である第1および第2の表面、ならびに第1および第2の表面の間の少なくとも2つの平行な高強度エッジを有するシートであって、少なくとも2つの平行な高強度エッジのそれぞれが、50mmの試験長さにわたって200MPaの応力レベルにおいて約2%未満の破壊確率が可能となる曲げ強度を有するシートを提供するステップと;
b.少なくとも2つの平行な高強度エッジのそれぞれの少なくとも一部の上にポリマーエッジコーティングを堆積して基材を形成するステップと
を含む方法が提供される。
Claims (5)
- 基材であって:
a.ガラス、セラミック、およびガラスセラミックの少なくとも1つを含むシートであって、第1の表面、第2の表面、および前記第1の表面と前記第2の表面とを連結する少なくとも2つの平行な高強度エッジを有し、前記少なくとも2つの平行な高強度エッジのそれぞれが、50mmの試験長さにわたって200MPaの応力レベルにおいて約2%未満の破壊確率が可能となる曲げ強度を有するシートと、
b.前記少なくとも2つの平行な高強度エッジのそれぞれの少なくとも一部を覆うポリマーエッジコーティングであって、前記高強度エッジのそれぞれを、欠陥および損傷の発生から保護するポリマーエッジコーティングと、
を含むことを特徴とする基材。 - 前記ポリマーエッジコーティングが約5μm〜約50μmの範囲内の厚さを有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の基材。
- 前記少なくとも2つの平行な高強度エッジのそれぞれが、仕上げが行われていないことを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の基材。
- 基材の製造方法であって:
a.ガラス、ガラスセラミック、およびセラミックの少なくとも1つを含み、互いに実質的に平行である第1および第2の表面、ならびに前記第1および第2の表面との間の少なくとも2つの平行な高強度エッジを有するシートを提供するステップであって、前記少なくとも2つの平行な高強度エッジが、50mmの試験長さにわたって200MPaの応力レベルにおいて約2%未満の破壊確率が可能となる曲げ強度を有するステップと、
b.前記少なくとも2つの平行な高強度エッジのそれぞれの少なくとも一部の上にポリマーエッジコーティングを堆積して前記基材を形成するステップと、
を含むことを特徴とする、方法。 - 前記シートを提供する前記ステップが、前記シートをレーザ切断して前記少なくとも2つの平行な高強度エッジを形成するステップを含むことを特徴とする請求項4に記載の方法。
