Abstract
【解決手段】歯車に加工されるワーク10の回転軸Awに対して傾斜した回転軸Acを有するピニオン型のカッター1を用い、カッター1をワーク10と同期回転させながらワーク10の歯すじ方向に送り操作するスカイビング加工を利用した歯車製造方法において、スカイビング加工の前に、ワーク10の加工面10aを表面硬化処理した表面硬化層15を形成しておく。

Description
本発明に係る歯車製造方法は、スカイビング加工により多数の細かい歯を有する波動歯車を加工するのに特に適しているが、これに限らず外歯歯車等の加工に適用することも可能である。例えば、外歯歯車の加工の際に本発明を適用した例を図8に示す。外歯歯車の場合は、ワーク10の外周面が加工面10aとなる。従って、加工面10aと、ワーク10の下面10cのうち歯溝が形成される領域を含む範囲とに表面硬化処理を施し、表面硬化層15を形成すればよい。

Claims (5)
- 歯車に加工されるワークの回転軸に対して傾斜した回転軸を有するピニオン型のカッターを用い、前記カッターを前記ワークと同期回転させながら前記ワークの歯すじ方向に送り操作するスカイビング加工を利用した歯車製造方法において、
前記スカイビング加工の前に、前記ワークの加工面を表面硬化処理しておく歯車製造方法。 - 前記表面硬化処理は窒化処理により行われる請求項1に記載の歯車製造方法。
- 前記表面硬化処理により、前記ワークの表面の硬度を母材の硬度よりもビッカース硬さ(HV硬さ)で50〜500硬くしてある請求項1又は2に記載の歯車製造方法。
- 前記表面硬化処理により硬化させる厚みを0.01〜0.2mmとしてある請求項1〜3の何れか1項に記載の歯車製造方法。
- 前記表面硬化処理の前に行う前記ワークの切削加工により、前記表面硬化処理により硬化させる厚みよりも深い凹部が前記加工面の表面に形成されている請求項1〜4の何れか1項に記載の歯車製造方法。
