Abstract
Description
上記の導光板は、その導光板の少なくとも一部を介して上記の光源の光を導光することができ、
第1の光源により発せられた光の少なくとも一部と、隣接する第2の光源により発せられた光の少なくとも一部とが、上記の導光板の内部で混成された後、単一の実質的に平行光化された混成光ビームとして当該照明モジュールから出ていくように、上記の導光板が1つ以上の出射カップリング構造を含むことを特徴とする照明モジュールが提供される。
Claims (16)
- 複数の光源を収容する導光板に亘って分布させられた該複数の光源を含む照明モジュールであって、
前記導光板は、該導光板の少なくとも一部を介して前記光源の光を導光することができ、
第1の光源により発せられた光の少なくとも一部と、隣接する第2の光源により発せられた光の少なくとも一部とが、前記導光板の内部で混成された後、単一の実質的に平行光化された混成光ビームとして当該照明モジュールから出ていくように、前記導光板が1つ以上の出射カップリング構造を含むことを特徴とする照明モジュール。 - 各光源が、実質的に、少なくとも1つの同心の出射カップリング構造の中心内に付与されていることを特徴とする請求項1記載の照明モジュール。
- 各光源が、少なくとも1つの連続的な出射カップリング構造により取り囲まれていることを特徴とする請求項1記載の照明モジュール。
- 前記出射カップリング構造が、前記導光板に設けられた1つ以上の溝を含み、前記溝は、オプションとして追加の光学手段を収容していることを特徴とする請求項1記載の照明モジュール。
- 前記出射カップリング構造が、前記光源を取り囲む連続的でない出射カップリング構造を含んでいることを特徴とする請求項1記載の照明モジュール。
- 前記出射カップリング構造がピラミッド構造を含み、該ピラミッド構造に、オプションとしてレンズが付与されていることを特徴とする請求項5記載の照明モジュール。
- 好ましくは複屈折層である、偏光選択層を含むことを特徴とする請求項1記載の照明モジュール。
- 前記光源が、1つ以上の発光ダイオードを含んでいることを特徴とする請求項1記載の照明モジュール。
- 前記光源が、少なくとも2色の発光ダイオード、または異なる色の複数の発光ダイオードの集合を含んでいることを特徴とする請求項1記載の照明モジュール。
- 前記導光板は、平行光化された混成光ビームが当該照明モジュールを出ていく側と反対の側に、前記光源を収容するための穴を含んでおり、
前記出射カップリング構造は、前記導光板の、前記光源と同じ側に設けられていることを特徴とする請求項1記載の照明モジュール。 - 前記導光板の厚さが、前記光源同士の間の方向で変化することを特徴とする請求項1記載の照明モジュール。
- 前記導光板が、前記光源の光を前記導光板内にカップリングするための入射カップリング構造をさらに含んでいることを特徴とする請求項1記載の照明モジュール。
- 前記複数の光源を個別にアドレス指定できるように構成されていることを特徴とする請求項1記載の照明モジュール。
- 請求項1記載の照明モジュールを含む、面を照明することのできるランプであって、
前記複数の光源がマトリックス状に配置されており、
前記出射カップリング構造は、前記面上において重なり合う単一の平行光化された混成光ビームが得られるように、構成されていることを特徴とするランプ。 - ビデオ信号を受信することによって画像を表示することのできる液晶ディスプレイパネルと、個別にアドレス指定可能な光源を有する請求項1記載の照明モジュールを含むバックライトとを備えたディスプレイ装置であって、
前記バックライトは、個別にアドレス指定可能な前記光源を、前記ビデオ信号に従って制御することによって、前記液晶ディスプレイパネルの領域に光を当てることができることを特徴とするディスプレイ装置。 - ビデオ信号を受信することによって、ディスプレイパネル上に画像を表示することのできるディスプレイ装置であって、
個別にアドレス指定可能な光源を有する請求項1記載の照明モジュールを含み、
前記照明モジュールは、個別にアドレス指定可能な前記光源を、前記ビデオ信号に従って制御することによって、前記ディスプレイパネルの外側への前記画像の拡張を思わせるように構成されていることを特徴とするディスプレイ装置。
