Abstract

1. Pivot for a tilting or oscillating roof window and that comprises : - one fixed element (2) fitted solidly to the casing and linked to one of the ends (21) of a tilting lever (4) through a first hinged spindle (18) ; - one mobile element (3) fitted solidly to the tilting or oscillating wing and linked to the other end (33) of the tilting lever (4) through a second hinged spindle (36), with these two hinged spindles (18, 36) being offset, in the open position of the tilting or oscillating wing, outwards in relation to the plane of the wing, following a first rotation around the second hinged spindle (36) followed by a second rotation around the first hinged spindle (18) ; - locking means for the purpose of preventing the rotation of the tilting lever (4) around the first hinged spindle (18) ; - and blocking means that are fitted, following a rotation of the aforesead mobile element (3) around the second hinged spindle (36), for cancelling the effects of the locking means in view of permitting the second rotation of the tilting lever (4) around the first hinged spindle (18), with this pivot characterized in that : - the blocking means are fitted on the second hinged spindle (36) and consist, on one hand, of a blocking element (39) slipped onto the latter and fitted solidly in rotation to the mobile element (3), through the intermediate of a catch (44) that projects in relation to one of the faces (37) of this mobile element (3) and, on the other hand, of a catch (74) located on the rear face (38) of the parallel flange (34) of the tilting lever (4) and that co-operates with two stope (72), (73) of the mobile element (3) for the purpose of determining the previous rotation of the latter in relation to the flange (34) of the tilting lever (4) ; - and in that the locking means consist of a return spring (59) fitted on the parallel flange (34) of the tilting lever (4) and that pivots around an axis (55), and of a striker (8) fitted solidly to the fixed element 2 and located at the level of the transverse wall that links the two parallel flanges (22, 34) of the tilting lever (4).
